I asked a friend if he had any fun deck ideas.

"Yes! Something for budget Legacy!"

Oh yeah? Sounds good. Got a list?

"Four Academy Researchers , four Eldrazi Conscription "

and?

"...that's it."

So here I am, trying to make this work. The idea is to get the Researchers down and either they're massive with the Eldrazi Conscription or can't die with the Fool's Demise . In the former case you swing away and try to win in a few turns with damage; in the latter you use Blasting Station for the kill, or Viscera Seer with Bitter Ordeal. (You can also use the scry to essentially tutor for Bitter Ordeal or Blasting Station to draw next turn, or with a cantrip to get it right away.)

I think that all works how I want it to. I stack the Fool's Demise triggers so I have it back in my hand before the Researchers come back and then they can be reenchanted with the ETB. Right?

I realised in making this that the important pieces are all Modern legal; it doesn't have to be a Legacy deck. Since my friend had envisioned it as a Legacy deck I have kept it Legacy and jammed Brainstorm, Ponder, and Preordain - since finding the pieces is very important. But...perhaps it could be made to work in Modern?
