The goal of the deck is to force your opponent to deal with Thing in the Ice  , meanwhile you filter your deck and load your discard pile. Then on turn 6 you hit at least a 7-10 zombie Rise from the Tides. I put this under "standard" although I don't play it competitively. I'm just playing for fun with some friends. Any suggestions or neat techs would be appreciated. I'm rather keen on mono blue but was considering splashing either red or black if a tech was worth it. I also don't know any good special lands to run and would appreciate any suggestions. Also I am not incredibly practiced at deck building so any tips on proportions would be great. I also need help with the sideboard.

I also love character/theme/roleplaying components...Just imagine running into a Plansewalker. He doesn't look like much, but carries with him a large book. As you begin to fight he pulls the tides from nowhere, and suddenly you are ankle deep in icy cold water. What's that in the distance?..icebergs!...You now scramble to deal with this. However your creatures are constantly being frozen by the planeswalker. With each spell the ice falls off these icebergs to reveal the kraken underneath. As you scramble to deal with all this, you notice just how much this planeswalker has been rifiling through that book, BAM the ground at your feet crumbles and a sea of hands pulls you under...never to be heard from again.

Feel free to make any suggestions for neat techs for character and roleplay reasons too!
