Feldon's story

Loran. I wish you were here.

Every day I try to recreate you. Every day my mind shapes itself into some figment of what you were. Sometimes you were as explosive as a Furystoke Giant other times you created, your progeny running forth like a Myr Battlesphere 's children.

Yet these aspects of you are not you. You were more than that. You were. You are. A complexity of things that even I don't understand.

Sometimes I keep the scraps of metal I threw into the forge, thinking of you - scraps that emerged as aspects of you, but never the whole. I wrap them in an Assault Suit and set them on the shelf. Perhaps to be recreated when I miss that specific piece of you.

Mostly I let them fall away.

Sometimes I rage at the forge, until the flames rise to infinite heights, roaring like a devouring Thermopod hoping somehow, irrationally, that the heat will bring you back.

Oh Loran. I wish you were here. I wish I didn't miss you as much as I do, and I wouldn't give up missing you for the world.

I dip into the forge again and again and it never comes out right.

All I want is to say goodbye.
