So this started out as a fun casual deck, but with the major draw power, discard mechanic, and reliable search engine with Sidisi, Undead Vizier it's become something of a powerhouse. As with all mono-black decks it has issues dealing with artifacts and enchantments, but cards like All Is Dust etc can make up for it.

Discard Mechanics

Myojin of Night's Reach+Geth's Grimoire - massive card draw and cripple opponents

Liliana's Specter+Geth's Grimoire - lower cost discard and draw

Thoughtpicker Witch+Ophiomancer - control top card of all opponent's libraries

All of these discards benefit from Geth's Grimoire, Smothering Abomination, or Waste Not in play.

Synergies

Fleshbag Marauder+Dawn of the Dead+Grave Pact - effective board control

Infernal Tribute+Spine of Ish Sah - draw and destroy

Phyrexian Reclamation+Sidisi, Undead Vizier - control commander cost (Tortured Existence works as well)

Hex Parasite+Cabal Coffers - control any planeswalkers or counter building

Finishers

Maga, Traitor to Mortals - after boosting lands

Hatred

Exsanguinate - after boosting lands

Gray Merchant of Asphodel - with recursion

Kokusho, the Evening Star - with recursion

Sorin Markov - if necessary, usually used for ult not life drop

Any card options or +1's greatly appreciated. This deck is not nearly as oppressive as some mono-black decks can be, but it ends up being a heavy hitter at any state in the game. The attrition aspects can help to control players, but needs to be on the lookout for blue control or enchantment heavy decks.
