The main goal of this deck is to amass a huge army and swing for lethal with a bunch of pumped tokens or as a secondary win-con to combo-out and mill everybody with Darien+Blasting Station + Soul Warden & Altar of Dementia

Instead of just telling you what my creatures do I need to explain the combos and how they run with Darien. Ironically, I hate the color white, but this deck is so fun to play!

Assembling the Combo

This deck starts with Darien being the most important piece. Without Darien in play, my deck can still win by generating tokens, but the combo isn't nearly as effective.

As you know, Darien, King of Kjeldor spits out 1/1 Soldiers whenever I am DAMAGED (this does not include losing life from the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo). So I included lands and a few spells that deal damage to myself. These cards include...

That all may sound great but shouldn't I put in cards that gain that life back? Yes, but to make it gross, it needs to be from ETB triggers. Cue the Soul Sisters...

This allows us to gain back any damage that we take from 1/1 soldiers entering off of Darien triggers. As long as the damage is not either 21 commander or lethal when we take the damage, our life total will either grow from Healer of the Pride or stay the same when we take damage. But how can we abuse this more? Lemme show you...

Lemme show you...

After we gain life back from the Soul Sisters, Archangel of Thune will then trigger. So lets say we tap Ancient Tomb and Tarnished Citadel for 2 colorless and a . This deals 5 damage to us, triggering Darien, which triggers Soul Warden 5 times, which triggers Archangel of Thune 5 separate times and putting 5 +1/+1 counters on each creature we control BEFORE WE EVEN PLAY A SPELL. Other cards that do similar things include Cathars' Crusade, and Goldnight Commander. I can also draw a ton of cards with Mentor of the Meek and Well of Lost Dreams. This can definitely get a little overwhelming at times...

There is one more step to this combo, which can make it go infinite, and that is a Sac Outlet. Blasting Station is the key to making this deck go crazy. With Blasting Station out I can make infinite ETB triggers with Darien by targeting myself with the 1 damage from Blasting Station. I ca gain infinite life with Healer of the Pride, and make my dudes infinitely huge with Cathars' Crusade, Archangel of Thune and Goldnight Commander. I can also make infinite 1/1 Spirits with Requiem Angel (the flavor is kinda cool too) creating more ETB triggers and making fat dudes for Altar of Dementia.

Protection

Obviously I need some sort of protection for all my combo pieces.

Makin Some Soldiers

Some would think this may be a Squirrel deck due to how fast my soldiers can multiply, but nope. It's not. If Darien isn't out or somebody casts Nevermore I need to find ways in order to make more soldiers... - Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Knight-Captain of Eos, Hero of Bladehold, Elspeth, Sun's Champion,Elspeth Tirel, and Kjeldoran Outpost.

Ramp/Card Draw

Mono-White Ramp? Yea buddy...

Burnished Hart, Knight of the White Orchid, Land Tax, Mana Crypt, Mana Vault Sword of the Animist, Terrain Generator, Solemn Simulacrum, Sol Ring, Caged Sun and Gilded Lotus

Card Draw Mentor of the Meek, Crystal Ball, Well of Lost Dreams, Mind's Eye, Staff of Nin, and Skullclamp,

Removal Package

We really desire removal that does not target our creatures because of our lack of recursion.

Recursion

Pump Spells

These spells get our dudes fatter and lethal. P.S. Make sure you can kill everybody when you cast Coat of Arms.

Discussion

I want to iterate that Darien is obviously not the best general or in the best color combo around. Mono-white in general is considered to be one of the weaker colors to be playing in EDH (next to mono-red) due to its lack of card draw and mana ramp (the two most important components in a EDH deck).

The reason that I am saying this is because this deck was created for one thing. Fun. This deck does exceptionally well at kitchen table Magic games and FNM where people aren't "try hard" control players that wrath the board every 2 turns. You need to be in a meta where people want to have fun. It's great to see people's reaction when you lay down City of Brass, or Tarnished Citadel while playing a mono-white deck. Or trying to explain the combo and all the triggers happening simultaneously with Archangel of Thune and Soul Warden. Seeing other people have fun with your deck is what makes it so sweet.

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!

I want to make sure to thank all of you for making this deck the #1 voted Darien deck on TappedOut!!

I also appreciate that the deck that I feel is my least "Spikey" is my most popular deck. That says a lot about the Magic community.

If you have any questions or discussions about the deck please comment below and give a +1! I would really appreciate it!

Updates Add

Gave Darien a little love in terms of synergy and control

Took out Martial Coup and put in Collective Effort because of the amazing synergy and versatility, and I hate dumping mana into X spells like that. It seems like a waste of a turn, plus 7 mana is a bit much to wipe the board

Put back in Expedition Map because I was an idiot for taking it out. Took out Field Marshal because he didn't impact the board enough for me or make me dudes.

Took out Decree of Justice and put in Catapult Master because recurring spot removal is amazing in white and it lets me close games out very quickly.

Put in Ankh of Mishra and took out Blood of the Martyr because ramp is a thing in EDH and it synergizes with Darien.

Biggest weak spot in the deck is coming back from massive board wipes and building my board state any. Any suggestions are always welcome. Thanks!
