For a casual deck it's really up to you which deck is better. Now while building this deck did you think of maybe Painful Quandary , Killing Wave , or maybe the Sanguine Bond /Exquisite Blood combo?

I did forget about that combo. What should I remove to make room for three of each? Exquisite Blood /Sanguine Bond

Really well done! I think you have thought this out perfectly. love Dash Hopes in here. Your sideboard of course still needs filling out. a suggestion is maybe run a enchant that gives your Souls of the faultless flying. In case you run into something like Entreat the Angels . but with dash hopes and your obv rings, i think your still good in most matchups. Really cleaver deck. Don't see this everyday +1.

Thanks :)

Yeah the deck is weak to flyers because my only flyer is Blind Hunter . However, that is what the board wipes are there for. Yeah, I know the sideboard needs work, but I'm trying to finish getting the cards for the deck first. Right now I only play one person and it's just a casual playing.

Any suggestions for the sideboard?

i recently had a deck with the sanguine bond/ exquisite blood combo. And winning that way is extremely boring (for you as well as your opponent). Just my $0.02

It's not always an easy combo to pull off, and it's not the only win condition. If you read the description, there are two other ways of winning with the deck. Besides, a win is a win, no matter how you get to it.

If you wanna give your two cents, then have it be constructive criticism, not "that combo is boring for everyone" and then leave.

One interesting combo you might want to add is Palace Guard and Ghostly Possession . Highly irritating if not dealt with. And you can go entirely unhindered while you sap opponents life. +1 from me btw and thanks for the help on the merfolk deck. It's been updated with most of your suggestions, they made a lot of sense

Thanks for the +1 and you're welcome for the suggestions :)

As for the suggestion you made here, Souls of the Faultless is better, just because it is a viable threat alone. Add the Valor Made Real to it, and it's a win condition in of itself.

Why don't you break the combo even more and add Boon Reflection ?

August 10, 2012 12:31 p.m.

Not bad but what would I take out for it?

I have no idea. I could see myself running this without Pillory of the Sleepless .

With Boon Reflection , Exquisite Blood , and Sanguine Bond on the field, they sneeze, they die.

August 10, 2012 12:53 p.m.

While that is true, at minimum it'll be turn seven to get all three out, turn 6 to get two out. Although they are hugely powerful cards, relying on them is bad. There are other ways to win, and I wanna keep it that way. Pillory of the Sleepless prevents creatures from attacking AND draining their life. I would replace Pillory of the Sleepless with card:Norn's Annex before I do so for Boon Reflection .

Blood Artist is better than Suture Priest in my opinion.. Bump in the Night in combo with Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond .. Mortify and Unmake for removals.. and Mourning Thrull to add another flying creature to your arsenal..

August 25, 2012 1:43 a.m.

That is true, but it would be good to have both. Forget the combo, that card is good by itself :D 3 life for one mana? Awesome :3

Well, I have Dismember , card:Black Sun's Zenith, and Wrath of God for removal. The addition of Mourning Thrull only for flying seems kinda...well, not worth it. What would you suggest I remove for Blood Artist and the Thrull

it's just too bad the flashback cost of Bump in the Night contains a red mana.. I just think that Dismember is a sideboard card, but maybe your life gain can pay for its cost..

In my opinion: add a set of Blood Artist and +2 Mourning Thrull for 3 Viscera Seer , 2 Sanguine Bond and a Exquisite Blood or replace the 3 Viscera Seer s and 3 Sanguine Bond s..

You could also add Idyllic Tutor or Lost Auramancers to tutor for your Sanguine Bond and/or Exquisite Blood

August 25, 2012 8:51 p.m.

I could cut back one of each infinite combo enchantment for 2 Blood Artist

LastEdegy says... #18

hmm.. that could also work.. nothing is set, it just needs play testing to be sure..

Combo is brutal! I would cut 1 each from the infinite combo for the Blood Artist just like you were thinking.+1 :D

I use deck with similar basic strategy using Ghostly Prison to stall and Syphon Life to drain. And also thinking about Archangel of Tithes

Try Vizkopa Guildmage to replace sanguine bond? Also, if you can spare the money, Phyrexian Obliterator would work nicely with your instant like with Souls of the Faultless
