The best part? This deck actually works. What happens is, once you hit layer 9, your opponent doesn't have enough cards in their deck to draw their initial 7, and they lose turn 0. Then you go back up to layer 8, and they lose 10 health. After 5 castings of Shahrazad in layer 8 (which should take 5 turns tops), they hit 0 health, and you move up to layer 7. Lather, rinse, repeat, until you make it back up to layer 1 and finish the resolution of that final Shahrazad.

How much time passes at layer 9 for every five minutes in layer 1?

adinsx says... #7

Exactly enough to get you DQ'd for stalling.

Once you reach layer 9 and the opponent dies can they still fall back to layer 8 or do they fall into limbo? Lost forever in the void of MTG.

I wonder if anyone is already down there? Creating their own Magic world.

Mark Rosewater is stuck in MTG Limbo; I hear the magic world he is creating is full of riggers and contraptions. His mind is truly lost.

Years ago, there's was an interview on DailyMTG where Richard Garfield even gives props to this deck. Worth readin': http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/feature/78

the price is without the mox pearl wich is 600 dollar each. this is just 100 time sharazard at 45 dollar.

so that would count up to 64,500 dollar.

and this deck isn't legal in anny format.(except roflcopter leage)

but yeah good fun.

I think you might want to consider making this deck 60 cards as you will have a better chance of pulling your combo.
