Maybeboard

This deck is all "backed up!"

(It's a bad pun tying together constipation and "back up" in a fight.)

So, there are a lot of cards that are excellent inclusions in any Mayael deck. You'll notice that a lot of those Mayael favorites are missing from this deck. There are reasons for this.

First allow me to "set the stage" There is a lot of board wiping and spot removal in my play group's meta... specifically, directed at the Mayael deck.

Furthermore, there is also a fair amount of resentment toward players who play a lot of... permanents which have constant, or reoccurring, effects that either destroy land, or prevent other players from being able to untap land, cast spells, or activate abilities.

There is plenty of hypocrisy to go around (some of the complainers play things which render an opponent's deck completely useless).

Humility (while this almost never gets played in our play group) is a good example of a card that renders this deck "dead on arrival."

Anyway, now that you have the extensive background, let me say that the point if this deck is to be as resilient as possible without making enemies of friends.

It's still being tweeked, but I think that in a friendly setting it will be a fun, non-oppressive, yet still interactive deck to pilot. I'm hoping that, in my group's meta, it will win about %25 to %30 of the games played.

Any ideas concerning card swaps for this deck will be appreciated; but please keep in mind that the cards in this deck shouldn't prevent other players from having a good time playing against this deck.

We're just trying to ramp, draw, cast fatties, keep them on the battlefield, punish opponents for trying to remove the fatties, bring the fatties back into play, add more fatties, and ultimately turn fatties sideways.

So... Easy, right? Lol.

Thanks for taking the time.
