Hail to the Queen, Baby. Mainly just want to maximize on all the cool new Conspiracy 2 Monarch mechanics. And with much heartbreak, I couldn't just put all Monarch cards, but the spirit of wearing a hat the longest lives on. Basic Pillow Fort (or should I say Pillow Castle) strategy. Hurt everyone behind your wall of loyal servants and protective spells.

The Queen's Soldiers

Ankle Shanker - Leading the charge to kill anyone who threatens your reign.

Archetype of Courage - Works great with Ankle Shanker to guarantee that basically all will fall to the ankle shanking. Otherwise being the only first striker is still pretty important.

Bastion Protector - A loyal knight to protect your Queen.

Boros Reckoner - Such a great card. Toss the damage he takes at someone else, or just let him First Strike.

Grave Titan - Titan that drops 2/2 zombies everywhere that can be lovely chump blockers. And he's a 6/6 Deathtouch. Overkill much.

Hanweir Garrison - Ah, the beloved citizens are more than happy to protect their Queen. The community is always ready to come together as Hanweir, the Writhing Township for even more hurt.

Kokusho, the Evening Star - Fly around to take back your crown, and if your dragon may die, then at least you'll be paid for your loss.

Selfless Squire - Your opponent thinks they have you on the ropes, then suddenly BAM! Your Squire is super buff.

Sepulchral Primordial - Conscript your fallen foes into your empire and blast away with your intimidating tomb.

Skyline Despot - Makes you Monarch, gives you dragons for being Monarch, and is a 5/5 Dragon that can most likely take back the crown if you happen to lose it.

Thalia, Heretic Cathar - Slow down your opponents. I'm sure Thalia would approve of working for such an oppressive regime...

Thief of Blood - All those counters out there would look much nicer on this lovely lady.

Throne Warden - Gets stronger and stronger the longer you're the Monarch.

Assemble the Legion - Progressively more and more loyal soldiers ready to protect the throne.

The Queen's Court

Avacyn, Angel of Hope - Our Queen's rule is blessed by this angel's blessings.

Blood Artist - Paint your royal portrait in your enemies' blood. One of the ways to keep hurting people while hiding in your fort.

Butcher of Malakir - All will suffer when one of your servants die thanks to your royal executioner.

Garrulous Sycophant - Preaching the glory of our benevolent ruler. Chip away in your Pillow Fort.

Kambal, Consul of Allocation - Tax season can be murder.

Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs - Make your opponents regret trying to attack you. If they do and don't pay his price, then you get a free 3/3 Blocker

Ophiomancer - A constant supply of snakes to protect you or attack with.

Orzhov Advokist - See where your foes' alliances lie by offering them +1 counters to not attack you for a round. Not to mention you won't be attacking yourself, so boost one of your court members.

Royal Assassin - Kill those who have let their guard down.

Spirit en-Dal - Give one of your creatures Shadow for a turn (maybe your Monarch for that sweet Commander Damage) or just play her and let her smack some people around.

Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts - Our most trusted advisor. Perfect blocker and attacker, and anyone that happens to sneak past your defenses will be turned into a spirit to serve you for their afterlife. I love her so much.

Thorn of the Black Rose - Makes you Monarch and is a 1/3 Deathtouch. And she looks so cool.

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight - Captain of the guard. Not only does she dissuade attackers from going at you, but she also hurts your foes even more.

Captivating Crew - Conscript the peasants to fight for me.

Twilight Prophet - The court soothsayer. Once #blessed, you're getting more card draw and draining some life.

The Laws of the Land

Always Watching - Your creatures are ever vigilant to protect the throne. Brave the Sands could also work, but I like the power boost.

Authority of the Consuls - Get life each time an opponent summons another creature to challenge you, and tap them while you're at it.

Blind Obedience - Your opponents come in tapped and you can Extort if you have the extra mana.

Ghostly Prison, Marchesa's Decree, Norn's Annex, and Sphere of Safety - It will cost your opponents if they dare to attack you. Plus the Decree makes you Monarch.

Luminarch Ascension - No matter how badly they want to attack you, sometimes your opponents just can't. Great for you, since with only four turns of taking no damage will you be able to create angels for .

No Mercy - Filthy commoners have no right to touch you. They deserve no mercy for their arrogance.

Painful Quandary - I guess the quandary being if they should even keep playing or not.

Palace Siege - Pick dragons to chip away from behind your Pillow Fort. Khan if you want to be able to regain fallen followers. Dragons is my #1 choice for the enchantment.

Reverence - Low power creatures tremble before your glory, granting you less attackers to worry about.

Crawlspace - Severely limit the amount of attackers coming for your crown.

Tools of the Court

Darksteel Ingot, Chromatic Lantern, Sol Ring, Boros Signet/Orzhov Signet/Rakdos Signet - Mana Fixing/Ramp, plain and simple.

The Immortal Sun - A symbol of my overwhelming power.

Deathrender - Cheat something in when the wielder dies. Otherwise still grants +2/+2.

Swiftfoot Boots - Cause Commander. Lightning Greaves would be the upgrade of course.

Thought Vessel - A little mana rock that, along with Reliquary Tower allow you to keep all those sweet Monarch-Drawn cards.

Whispersilk Cloak - Not only do you protect the wearer with shroud from targeted removal, you let them slip through to regain your crown.

Quietus Spike - Speed along your opponent's death. Spirit en-Dal-gifted wielders and other unblockables best suited for the task of stabbing people with this stake.

Insert Witty Royalty Spell Title Here

Comeuppance and Deflecting Palm - They thought they were going to cause you harm? The fools.

Return to Dust, Swords to Plowshares, Lightning Bolt and Utter End - Spot Removal.

Anger of the Gods, Blasphemous Act, and In Garruk's Wake - Clean up the board a little.

Beseech the Queen - Flavorful tutor.

Boros Charm - It's many functions, in order of why I put it in, as follows: 1) Grant Indestructible to save from board wipes and the like, 2) Grant Double Strike to deal finishing blows, 3) 4 damage to an opponent to kill a straggler.

Capital Punishment - Flavorful card that's just plain neat.

Council's Judgment and Deadly Designs - Flavorful Removal.

Grave Upheaval - Land Fixing early when you need it, and resurrection shenanigans later on.

Vandalblast - Your opponents' treasuries are getting a tad too full, wouldn't you say?

The Kingdom's Territories

Hanweir Battlements - Haste provider and can become Hanweir, the Writhing Township.

Reliquary Tower - You will be drawing a lot of cards. No need to discard any of them.

Rogue's Passage - Sneak a creature in to steal back your crown.

Considerations to the Court

Harsh Mentor - Since the idea of this deck is to pillow fort, there should be more ways to strike from behind your castle walls. So why not punish them for playing the game? Similar philosophy for Vial Smasher the Fierce

Bontu's Monument - Not only do you cheapen your black creatures, but you life drain your opponents each time you cast any of your creatures

Throne of the God-Pharaoh - Not only flavorful, but you ping each opponent for each of your tapped creatures.

Sol Ring - 'cause Sol Ring. Wait, that's not already in here?

Debt to the Deathless - Major Life Drain Spell. Should definitely find the room.

Hour of Revelation - Harsh board wipe for when things get a bit too crazy.

Teferi's Protection - To protect you from harsh board wipes. Just pricey.

Disrupt Decorum - Let them eat cake.

Mathas, Fiend Seeker - Putting out bounties sounds like fun...
