This is a Yidris Spellslinger deck that has Aetherflux Reservoir as its main win condition. The deck is currently being tuned to a Tier 2 metagame that includes the following:

Mishra, Artificer Prodigy Artifact Midrange

Ezuri, Claw of Progress Coutners/Tempo

Queen Marchesa Prison

Mizzix of the Izmagnus Storm

Meren of Clan Nel Toth Midrange/Reanimator

I am trying to build the deck in a way that makes it casual (in a way) and fun to play, but still able to win games in a competitive environment. The deck has surprised me in the way that it can win games, and it is very fun to pilot, even when goldfishing. With no interaction, the deck is usually able to do something game-winning on turn 7, but I have had lucky hands which are able to storm off on turn 6.

Updates Add

Wow, I haven't updated the decklist in forever! I have made 3-4 edits since the last update, I can't even remember some cards that I took out. The major additions that I remember are:

Squandered Resources

-1 Mirrorwing Dragon, +1 Neheb, the Eternal

-1 Scalding Tarn, +1 Wooded Foothills

First, Squandered Resources is such a huge boon to the deck. The ability to just keep going after running out of mana is an extremely powerful ability, and it fits right into my playstyle of doing everything I can and hoping that it doesn't blow up. This might just be my new favorite card.

I am trying out Neheb, the Eternal in my list, swapping out the Mirrowing Dragon, who was underperforming. It cost too much mana for what it did and I just didn't really have anything to combo it into apart from Chaos Warp. I still like having Zada, Hedron Grinder in the deck though, for the fun factor. From my testing, Neheb does a great job of pumping out mana, something that this deck struggles with.

I swapped out Scalding Tarn for Wooded Foothills. Tarn just wasn't efficient enough for the money I spent on it, and I would rather have 2 khans fetches and some bfz lands than just one zen fetch. I am going to try and look for a Polluted Delta and some bfz duals to go along with the foothills.

For future upgrades, I am going to look into more spell copy effects, such as Fork and Reverberate. I didn't like Reiterate at 3 mana, so I am going to see how I like one of these at 2. Besides that, I would LOVE to get my hands onto a Wheel of Fortune, but that's a stretch considering I am already trying to get fetches, shocks, and bfz duals on top of that.
