The goal of this deck's function is to generate enough game state triggers to win, usually through targeted life loss/damage or combat damage. This is done via multistep game interactions (there are no two card combos - Triskelion is left out of the deck by design, despite its unique ability to provide a +1/+1 counter sink to Necrotic Ooze that can kill the table: Mikaeus proved to be the even more useful half). One of the most used is recursive sac fodder, where a creature returns itself to the battlefield after being sacrificed (an exhaustive list of examples is given below). Necrotic Ooze features in another combo, selectively retaining the activated ability of Phyrexian Devourer , immediately abusing any power-matters effect such as the commander's ability (a well-timed Disciple of Bolas renders Necrotic Ooze unnecessary). The wincon section of this description will remain a work in progress as I will be maintaining the deck within my local meta (this can also be seen in my use of specific removal such as Withered Wretch or Identity Crisis ). I'll try to keep some of the past pieces I've used in the maybeboard as I find the interactions between combo pieces to be the entire point of the deck, the rest being card advantage and removal to personal taste, mostly influenced by personal meta.
