Yes.. it's BACK. Part Three in the controversial series of decks that take a nontraditional control approach and more often than not... unsuspectingly DO WORK.

Part Two: I bet you didn't see this coming - Part Two

Part One: I bet you didn't see this coming

Concept: Blue-black control.

What You Do: Stall and control with cards like Despise, Distress, Mana Leak and exploit Surgical Extraction to get the playsets out of their library until eventually you can throw a bomb like Phyrexian Obliterator out onto the battlefield unscathed.

Win Conditions: Can be any number of things really. Stall until your opponent runs out of library augmented by Jace, Memory Adept or any of the bomb-drop creatures in this deck.

Bombs: Phyrexian Obliterator, simply, because it is a Phyrexian Obliterator. Vengeful Pharaoh, because it can keep creatures on lock if necessary. Grave Titan and Frost Titan, because they are excellent control bomb-drop creatures. Jace, Memory Adept and Liliana of the Veil can be bombs if left unchecked and if nothing more than to provide support. Your opponent will only have so much removal, how will they choose to use it and will it be chosen wisely?

Answer Cards (below):

Ratchet Bomb. It can answer just about anything, from game-winning shrines like Shrine of Burning Rage, to pesky one-drop creatures that get bigger, like Champion of the Parish.

Black Sun's Zenith. A beautiful battlefield-clearing card that doesn't go away.

Geth's Verdict. Hexproof creatures suddenly don't become a problem for you.

Mana Leak. Can't run blue and not toss in any of these suckers! :P

Snapcaster Mage. At worst, you can flashback a Ponder and utilize him as an attacker in the early game. At best, you can flash him in, Mana Leak some bullshit spell that your opponent just cast, and block some sucker creature coming at you.

Surgical Extraction, because I am convinced this is like having three extra counterspells of its own. Counter an opponent's spell with a Mana Leak and then use Surgical Extraction on it to dump out potentially three more of its kind. And it's always nice to see your opponent's hand and the win conditions in their library.

Ghost Quarter. Now you don't have to worry about utility lands like Inkmoth Nexus or Kessig Wolf Run ruining your day.

Stall Cards: Despise and Distress neatly fit into this category. Dump out creatures, planeswalkers, and other win condition cards in order of ascending mana cost, and you have effectively stalled the game while removing those win conditions. Top it all off with a nice Surgical Extraction.

Card Advantage: Think Twice and even Jace, Memory Adept if necessary.
