Tired of being hated every game of Commander? Well it is time to start dealing out the hate.

The game plan? Play Zur then start tutoring out enchantments to lock out your opponents.

Zur the enchanter is just a hate slinging machine. Each attack he can tutor out a specific piece of hate to help set up the lock of a lifetime.

The first enchantments to get are diplomatic immunity and vanishing to protect Zur. Diplomatic immunity protects Zur from targeted removal while vanishing protects Zur from wraths. This makes your Zur almost invincible, so you can focus on tutoring up your lock pieces. So you might be thinking that diplomatic immunity is bad on Zur because he can't be targeted by your enchantments. Well when Zur tutors the enchantment enters the battlefield and attaches itself to a creature. Notice the lack of the word target. This means that Zur can be enchanted by auras he tutors to the battlefield because they technically don't target. Also when Zur phases out with vanishing all of the permanents attached to him phase out with him, so there is no worries about losing your other protection enchantments.

There is one final piece of protection you will want to tutor out for Zur: steel of the godhead. Since Zur has to attack to tutor there is a chance he could die in combat, and steel of the godhead makes him unblockable.

Once you have the full suite of protection on Zur you can start slinging the hate. instead of going into detail on the different hate pieces I will list out the different packages that are included:

Artifact hate: stony silence, aura of silence.

Storm hate: rule of law, aegis of the gods.

Graveyard hate: rest in peace.

Land hate: contamination + bitterblossom, Mana Vortex. (You can tutor out as foretold to cast spells with this lock)

Enchantment hate hate: greater auramancy + copy enchantment/estrid's invocation, karmic justice.

Attacking hate: propaganda, ghostly prison, sphere of safety, solemnity + phyrexian unlife.

Once you are done hating out your opponents you can tutor up ethereal armor and commander damage your opponent's out of the game
