Elves exist mostly for mana by way of Elvish Archdruid and Priest of Titania. If used after a use of Sylvan Offering they end up allowing for most of the bigger creatures to enter the battlefield or provide a mode of making hydras like Polukranos or Heroes' Bane massive. Final win con comes in the form of Siege Behemoth allowing one to ignore all defenses during an attack from a wave of hydras.

Emrakul and Ulamog exist as the deck's minor control aspect to allow for reducing threats.
