What do you think about Elvish Fury as a repeatable removal at 5 cmc. With Bear Umbra and Wilderness Reclamation it's not a problem to do it every turn.

I would include Force of Vigor and Krosan Grip for some instant speed artifact and enchantment removal.

Harmonize and Shamanic Revelation would be good for some more card draw.

Rhonas's Monument will make your creatures cost 1 less and if you put out a few in a turn it can really be a good trample and pump ability. Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma would be good for attacking since all your hydras should come in with 4 power at least.

Revenge of the Hunted could be a good addition since then it should let you take out one player since they can’t block the rest of your creatures.

I'm attempting to build something similar, using some tricks such as Stony Strength and Rabid Bite .

Stony Strength can lure an opponent to attack, then slap a counter on a now blocker for a (hopefully) easy kill, and also it's a target trigger for Gargos to slay another threat on their turn.

Rabid Bite on a another large hydra will double up the removal also trigger Gargos too.

Joe_Ken_ I really really like Rhonas's Monument I dont know how I missed that when building. Unfortunately Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma doesn't reduce 80% of my creatures casting cost cause they are all 0/0 or x/x or / power and toughness. Shamanic Revelation doesn't seem that good or I should say isn't good enough. I dont think I'll have more than 4 creatures in play at one time before my opponents start removing them. So it would only draw like 4 cards on average. 5 mana 4 cards is good economy but I am looking for something like Soul's Majesty this triggers the Cmdr and draws at least 8 cards for 5 mana

LordVonChimp both those cards I've considered already. I found that combat tricks isn't gonna be useful enough and I didn't like that rabid bites a sorcery.

Needs more ramp. You're using cards like Caged Sun and Extraplanar Lens however you don't have Rampant Growth , Nature's Lore , Skyshroud Claim , Sakura-Tribe Elder , Into the North as well as cards like Fertilid . That way you can get full value out of mana doublers.

enpc you are absolutely right. After many test I found myself after waiting till turn 4 for any kind of plays. Cut 2 cards for Skyshroud Claim and Burnished Hart . But I think it could use maybe 2 more spots of ramp. And I dont know what else to remove.

I would cut Regeneration , Resize , Whip Silk and Hunger of the Howlpack for more ramp. And make sure that you're not just putting 3+ CMC ramp spells. If you only start rmping on turn 3, you haven't achieved tht much. After all, having 3 mana on turn 2 is more powerful than having 4 mana on turn 3 which in turn is more powerful than having 5 mana on turn 4.

I am going to take a deep dive on this over the coming weekend, as this is the EXACT type of deck I wanted to make myself, but less hydras and more fighting.

In the mean time off the top of my head from research, you might like Cyclical Evolution . It is super easy to set it up so it casts the turn after Gargos comes down, and then it just comes let it do its thing. Not like it is game breaking, but you'll probably get more casts of this than most other cards to trigger fighting.

Is Asceticism better than Darksteel Plate ? Idk because the most important creature in the deck is the Cmdr so darkesteel plate does that well. And darksteelnplate protects itself too but being indestructible. Then again hexproof is really good too and Asceticism can regenerate my cmdr or any other creature. It's a tough debate. I had it in my mind for a while. I went with darksteel pate because I've played with Asceticism quite a bit and it always gets destroyed. Darksteel plate however, I never see it get exiled.

You mentioned that Unbound Flourishing is insane with Hydra Broodmaster , but I don't think Unbound does anything to the monstrous ability as it cannot be doubled due to the restrictions of it being monstrous for the copy, so it doesn't impact it at all?

I do like your use of Vigor and fighting spells like Whip Silk . I might need to alter how my deck works a little.

Holy shit! I think you're right TheBigSkipper that's terrible! What a blow. Well I didn't want to because Unbound Flourishing is 3 cmc and Doubling Season is 5 cmc, but I'm gonna have to make the switch... there's an upside, it works great with the walkers.
