My playgroup is currently lacking a low-to-the-ground deck to keep our grindy decks in check. This culminated in a game in which I played Niv-Mizzet Reborn against Derevi, Empyrial Tactician and Yarok, the Desecrated, a game which lasted several hours too many.

Theros Beyond Death printed one of my favorite all-time commanders in my favorite color combination in Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger. I am going to be getting a paycheck for a deal which I'm hoping will pay for most of this deck. Here Kroxa heads a burn/discard engine in an 8-rack style group slug deck, pulling ahead of opponents by disrupting the number of cards they can keep in their hand. A number of party tricks make Kroxa's discard effect especially deadly: My favorites are Waste Not and Geth's Grimoire. I've also included a few of the more powerful recursion effects (especially nightmare, Chainer adept), but I'm focusing much more on the discard element. The deck has a very low curve for commander, and is running a low number of ramp pieces; my hope is that it is able to get under my grindy opponents and end games quickly.

Feedback is greatly appreciated! I'm expecting my budget to be fairly type, so if you have money-efficient options I'd appreciate them especially.
