Maybeboard

NOTE: I have only been playing Magic for a month and a half now. If there is any wisdom that you can pass on, please do :) There are so many cool Humans and combos in the new set, I just had to make a deck. A similar deck was made by Mercifulhurdle (http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/human-league-2/)

Build a wide field and ramp your humans up with counters using the following combos:

Multiple instances of creatures entering the field procs Cathars' Crusade multiple times. This effect, working in tandem with Gather the Townsfolk and Increasing Devotion, allows for 2 and 5 counters(respectively) to be placed on each creature you control. Each token would also enter with 2/5 counters as well.

This also works well with both Champion of the Parish and Thalia's Lieutenant, they essentially gain twice as many counters whenever tokens or creatures enter the field if Cathars' Crusade is active. These will be your quickest ramping cards.

Thraben Doomsayer and Hanweir Militia Captain/Westvale Cult Leader   both can spawn human tokens each turn, only further ramping your entire field. Hanweir Militia Captain can easily be transformed as you have many ways of adding to your field. Westvale Cult Leader   gains power and toughness equal to the number of creatures you control which, as we've already established, can quickly get out of control.

Grand Abolisher was added to prevent any funny-business while you're gearing up to attack, and Odric, Master Tactician was added for the obvious control that he adds when you DO declare an attack.

Odric, Master Tactician also works well with Nahiri's Machinations. When you declare an attack, make one of your token indestructible and have your opponents full field either NOT block, or ONLY block that token, essentially allowing you to swing through, usually for game. Grand Abolisher is the beautiful linchpin that prevents those pesky Celestial Flares and Fogs.

Gleam of Authority was chosen for obvious reasons, a wide field with many counters quickly makes the card a "must destroy" for your opponents. The added vigilance is handy, although the bolster often goes unused. Ring of Thune also adds vigilance and combos with the added counters each turn.

Always Watching or Brave the Sands wraps your field up in a nice bow, giving you that ability to swing unabated.

Cloudshift and Eerie Interlude gives you some versatility, you can either dodge spells (at the notable sacrifice of counters or enchantments attached to your now-massive humans), or you can exile and 're-enter' your tokens, proc'ing another round of Cathars' Crusade, Champion of the Parish and Thalia's Lieutenant.

Emeria, The Sky Ruin isn't a must have, but the added security of being able to bring back your Grand Abolisher, Westvale Cult Leader   or Odric, Master Tactician. Westvale Abbey   is also unneeded, it just seemed like a lot of fun :D

WHAT IT NEEDS: Cloudshift and self-exiling can get rid of enchantments targeting my creatures, but I have no enchantment killers in the deck. Maybe take out Cloudshift for Erase. Also, Do I need a board-wipe like Mass Calcify?
