My only problem with this would be that with only 20 lands you're going to struggle to get to 5 mana at times, so playing Mind Control could be a problem. And with a full playset in there, it's going to be messy if you draw multiples and not enough land. I play 23 land in my humans and sometimes still struggle to hit my fourth and fifth land drop. So I'd boost the land count and lower the higher cost cards. Other than that it looks kinda cool.
Yeah I realise that mind control is pretty pricey but nothing els in the deck cost more than 3, but I'm also thinking of dropping disperse, and 1 of each of the O-rings and mind control, and adding Cackling Counterpart and card:Conjurer's Closet.
Could I suggest a Mimic Vat ? Being able to create a copy of Snapcaster Mage , Silverblade Paladin or Fiend Hunter each turn could be much more beneficial. Instead of Disperse I'd try Vapor Snag - It's cheaper and has a bigger downfall for your opponent. Also, I think adding some evasion would be helpful. Maybe Angelic Destiny for some flying, or Invisible Stalker for hexproof? Put Angelic Destiny on your Invisible Stalker and pair him with Silverblade Paladin for extra lulz.
Wow I really like that Mimic Vat , but I trying to avoid the morrodin cards. and I didnt want to use vapor snag because of the 1 damage, incase I need to snag my own creatures. and the Neurok Invisimancer accomplishes the same gole that invisable stalker does but I can cloudshift him and give silverblade unblockable ect.
Thats funny I was actually looking at this when you mentioned it.
Firstly I think the Snapcaster Mage is pretty much redundant. It is only giving flashback to a few things and I think that there are better options for you. You could run a few Increasing Devotion along side your Gather the Townsfolk (id go two of each) and run Nephalia Smuggler instead.
A little card advantage might help midgame...
Probably the only other thing would be that I think your missing a bomb. It seams like your doing a whole lot of controling only to be playing a 3cmc Silverblade Paladin ftw. Perhaps jace could be an option or the Increasing Devotion as above.
Overall I like it although I think it needs a little polishing to be competitive. +1
Yeah I would like to but I dont have any increasing devotion, and I figured with so much creature removal, my winnies would be able to beat down my enemies because they dont have any blockers, and being able to flash snapcasters in, helps to throw my enemies off with un-expected blockers, example turn 2 Champ attacks I respond with a flashed snapcaster for the block killing his champ that he only attacked with because my board was wide open. But I get what your saying.
Plus Snapcaster + Cackling counterpart is so fun to use on my fiend hunters and Dungeon Geist, also pumping my champion of the parish.
whats a CMC? lol
CMC = Converted Mana Cost
Fair enough. Snapcasters are an expensive chump blocker lol.
Played a tournament tonight and can in first with 3-1, first 3 matches I went undefeated going 2-0 for every match. then on the 4 round I lost 2-1 to a wolfs ramp g/r, but mainly because I got mana screwed then mana flooded. Pretty happy with it all in all.
