Reminder

This deck's format is Pauper. Pauper is a format where you can only use common cards in your deck. (yes, there is a banlist and you can view it on Wizard of the Coast's website.) If a card was ever printed as a common, it's legal. (for example, Tormod's Crypt was printed as a common once in Chronicles, so it's Pauper legal.) Pauper is mostly played on MTGO and some cards aren't even in MTGO. I want this deck to be availble in both MTGO Pauper and Paper Pauper. Please remember this as you suggest some cards.

Welcome to Simic Infect, which is basically Mono-Green Infect that splashes Blue for cards such as Blighted Agent and Distortion Strike. But first, What is Infect? Infect is a deck that utilizes a very powerful mechanic, infect. The deck uses infect creatures such as Blighted Agent and Glistener Elf and cheap pump spells such as Groundswell or Giant Growth to possibly win turn 2 or 3. One problem with Mono-Green Infect was that they might have a creature by turn 2 or 3 to block your Glistener Elf or Ichorclaw Myr and you would need to have a Rancor or another trample giving effect on your creature to win. That's where Blue comes in. Blue gives evasion, which always was a much needed ability that Mono-Green Infect never had.

TURN 2 WIN

• Turn 1: Glistener Elf

• Turn 2: Mutagenic Growth, Giant Growth, Groundswell

OR

• Turn 1: Lotus Petal, Blighted Agent

• Turn 2: Mutagenic Growth, Groundswell, Giant Growth

TURN 3 WIN

• Turn 1: Nothing. (Yes, staring at your opponent with a creepy face works as well.)

• Turn 2: Blighted Agent

• Turn 3: Mutagenic Growth, Giant Growth, Groundswell

OR

• Turn 1: Glistener Elf

• Turn 2: Ichorclaw Myr

• Turn 3: Groundswell, Giant Growth, Mutagenic Growth on the unblocked creature

If you have a Gitaxian Probe in hand, remember to cast that before you attack with a 10/10 unblockable infect Blighted Agent . Your opponent might have a removal spell, and it's necessary to know when to hold back.

If you want to make the deck more budget, swap out the Lotus Petals and put in two more Forests and two more Islands. The deck should be around $40 with TCGPlayer's Cart Optimizer.

These are obviously not the only ways to win turn 2 or 3 in Infect. All the different ways to win early is what I personally love about this deck. And maybe you don't enjoy quick games where you could win turn 2 with a god-hand. That's absolutely fine.
