Welcome to my 5 color Maze's End deck.

So what is this deck trying to do? The goal of my deck is to win with lands. The main win-con is Maze's End which is usually combo'd with Scapeshift for the win or paired also with Amulet of Vigor for an insta win.

How to Maze's End:

Step 1: Ramp. The Scapeshift + Maze's End combo needs at least 10 lands out under your control in order to fetch 9 guildgates and Maze's End because Maze's End fetches the last guildgate and wins all in the same trigger.

Step 2: Stay Alive and keep the combo safe. Now here is the hard part because after the first combo win with this deck, people usually know what's up and will try to disrupt the combo and/or kill you. In order to combat this we have various means to keep our combo resilient such as Titania, Protector of Argoth and Sun Titan. Also, we have a reanimation theme going in our deck to help answer threats. Therefore, we need to constantly cycle through our deck in order to keep the engine running with cards such as Thought Courier and Jeskai Ascendancy.

Step 3: Scapeshift + Maze's End and win.

Wait. Someone exiled one of our guildgates! Mission Abort! We need to go to Plan B.

Plan B: You are here because someone exiled one of your guildgates and/or Maze's End

Step 4: The backup plan in this case or alternative win strategy is the use Titania, Protector of Argoth, and/or Borborgymos Enraged with The Gitrog Monster. These two cards can do some serious work because this is, after all, a land based deck with 40 lands. Fortunately, these two cards also work well with Scapeshift which can lead into a pretty beefy board or a large smack to someone's face as we can fetch bounce lands for Borborgymos Enraged. Another wincon we have is the Trench Gorger and goblin charblecher combo to exile all of our lands for a giant Trench Gorger and a Goblin Charbelcher that well deal damage equal to our library size.
