How did I get my name? It all began with this deck.

HISTORY

  • Zendikar gave me Vampire Nighthawk . Every deck I played had him. No exceptions.

  • SOM gave planted an idea inside me. I loved Red as much as I liked black. Why can't vampires just be both? I made due with some removal.

  • Then...Innistrad happened. I brewed for months and months and months...finally this was made. I couldn't afford much at the time but I had a huge record with this deck among MTGO and FNMS.

  • This Deck was for the most of its life played during SOM-ISD Standard.

MY RECORD AS I LEFT IT ON ANOTHER SITE

2-0 Blue/White Mill

2-0 Black/Green Pod

2-0 White/Green Restoration angel deck

*Note that this was an incomplete record as I couldn't access the internet through the last portion of me playing this deck competitvley.

CARD BREAKDOWN AS I REMEMBER

CREATURES

Blood Artist : Discouraged Removal and when pumped could swing for counters. People would actually be tricked into blocking him and have him randomly get first strike.

Blood Crazed Neonate : Did one of two things : eat removal/blockers or get so huge she couldn't be dealt with.

Falkenrath Exterminator : Swing with him for the first few turns then get free removal the rest of the game.

Falkenrath Marauders : One of 2 games enders. After dealing with everything else, people had a hard time of dealing with these guys and they got huge fast.

Olivia Voldaren : A pet card of mine. She did so much work against creature based decks. Also stealing fatties was great.

Rakish Heir : Had a target on his head, sure. But even 1 or 2 swings would give me such an edge on people.

Stromkirk Captain : A staple of the vampire deck. This guy made life hell for people.

Vampire Nighthawk : Was a huge combo with the captain. It was beautiful.

Vampire Interloper : My deck never cared for blocking much. He was so unexpected to people.

REMOVAL SUITE

All of these cards serve really only one purpose : Getting blockers the hell out of my way!

Doom Blade

Sorin's Thirst

Tragic Slip

RANDOM SPELLS

Appetite for Brains : This was my answer for planeswalkers and really annoying fat things I couldn't kill.

Sign in Blood : Just a draw spell for extra gas.

SPECIAL MENTION

Both Volt Charge and Vampiric Fury have literally won me games on the spot.

Volt Charge : would remove one thing while giving every vampire I had an extra counter. This happened so very much I couldn't believe people let it happen.

Vampiric Fury : Turned a suicide rush into games won soooooo many times. especially when a certain artist was on the field.

SIDEBOARD

I wish I knew but I don't haha...I didn't put too much thought to them back then.
