Mainboard

This Angel deck works mainly around the card Herald of War. The idea is to put enough +1/+1 counters (ideally four) on Herald of War to allow you to cast most of your other creatures really cheaply. On your turn you can play either Gird for Battle or Herald of War + Ordeal of Purphoros to gain +1/+1 counters and on the opponents turn you can play Test of Faith. The deck is somewhat slow since and you can't play Herald of War before turn five but it usually snowballs once you get it onto the battlefield. To help survive those first turns I've added cheaper creatures like Wall of Essence and Silverblade Paladin to protect yourself, but I might swap those out for other creatures over time. Guardian of the Gateless + Silverblade Paladin combos into a pretty mean defender and Dauntless Bodyguard + Herald of War is meant to protect Herald of War from being destroyed or killed.

Sideboard

I'm no expert on sideboards but the idea is that Wall of Essence can be swapped for Angelic Wall when playing against decks with a lot of flying, and Blessed Reversal should help you survive against aggressive or token decks. Test of Faith can be swapped for Feat of Resistance which helps against the destroy and exile effects and against really powerful creatures too. Finally, Ordeal of Heliod and Ordeal of Purphoros can be swapped depending on how you want to play.

I would like to get some vigilance into the deck, but overall, I’m beginning to feel that the deck is mostly complete but, it could use some tweaking. Any feedback is always appreciated.
