Welcome to Horde Mode; Survive the dead, Survive your friends.

The following deck is based on the Commander Vs. Season 5, Episode 4 and is a Co-operative/Competitive.

Horde is a multiplayer based game for 2-8 players in which all players play against and automated Horde deck which acts as a separate player between each players turn. The Horde has no life total and will attack with all creatures that it has in play, The Horde also has an unconventional deck size compared to the players

Horde mode runs in three ways; Normal, Obnoxious, Harassing. All going up with difficulty depending on the number of players, zombie tokens and x cast you allow the horde to have.

Normal Mode (Suggested for players 2-3.);

  • 20 2/2 Zombie tokens are included to the overall Horde Deck.
  • X included to cast spells are automatically 5 mana.
  • Milling of the Horde is allowed.
  • Flashback on Army of the Damned doesn't happen.
  • Each Player Gets 6 set up turns before The Horde Begins

Obnoxious Mode (Suggested for players 4-5.);

  • 40 2/2 Zombie tokens are included to the overall Horde Deck.
  • X included to cast spells are automatically 8 Mana.
  • Milling of The Horde is allowed.
  • Flashback on Army of the Damned happens after 10 Horde Turns
  • Each Player Gets 5 set up turns before The Horde Begins

Harassing Mode (Suggested for players 6-8.);

  • 60 2/2 Zombie tokens are included to the overall Horde Deck.
  • X included to cast spells are automatically 12 mana.
  • Milling of the Horde is Banned and the only conventional way to beat The Horde is destroying all zombies either through blocking, board-wipe or effects.
  • Flashback on Army of the Damned happens after 6 Horde Turns
  • Each Player Gets 4 set up turns before The Horde Begins
The Horde Has particular set of rules depending on how it's played, and will stay the same no matter how the diffuculty changes on The Horde;

The Horde will always have a turn between each players turn. E.G If player 1 passes to player 2, the Horde takes it's turn before Player 2 Turn and runs in the following phases of play;

  • The Horde has an upkeep and untaps all creatures
  • The Horde then plays the top x cards of it's library, This is determined by the number of turns in the list below.
  • The Horde than declares attackers
  • The Horde goes the End Phase than passes turn to next player.

Eliminating other players will reduce the number of turns The Horde takes, when you are the last survivor standing you will play The Horde as if it was one of the players.

The game cannot be won by any survivor in any means before The Horde is Eliminated from play. This inculdes cards that state "You Win The Game" in it's wording.

The Horde always first attacks the player with the lowest life total and sends 15 creatures cards maximum to attack, If the Horde controls 15+ creatures all extra creatures swing at the person with the second highest total. When attacking all non-token cards are declared attackers before all token zombies. If 2 or more players are tied for lowest health, the direction of attackers is chosen at random.

The Horde will cast creatures back from the graveyard if it is able too.

All Zombie tokens will not go into The Hordes graveyard, but will be romoved from play after being destroyed like normal tokens.

The Horde is considered a player in the case of being targeted by spells or ablities, but if if it's a enchantment that does not get cast from the Horde Deck than it does not effect it, E.G Fecundity if a zombie were to die while this card was in play then it's effect wouldn't work.

The Horde has no life and is only defeated if both Milled and all of it's creatures have been destroyed. The only way you can kill a creature is by defending agaist The Hordes attacks or spells aimed at creatures.

All Zombies do have summoning sickness unless it states they have haste.

The Horde will always choose "Zombies" as a selected creature card and "Black" as a

All Standard EDH Banned cards apply, Sorry Leovold, Emissary of Trest Thats means you can't stop The Horde from drawing 1 card per turn

Cards that can mill the zombie deck in one foul swoop (All three of the cards can be used against other players just not against The Horde);

Cards that make the Horde Pointless;

  • For the first 2 rotations of play from starting player too last player, The Horde will only play one card per it's turn
  • For the second 2 rotations of play from starting player too last player, The Horde will only play two card per it's turn
  • For the Third 2 rotations of play from starting player too last player, The Horde will only play three card per it's turn
  • after the 3 phases of rotation the deck will play 4 cards per turn until it is taken out of play through the two ways it can be defeated.

If you've read all the instructions, good luck and have fun.
