Do tapped permanents have you down? Tired of attacking with your creatures only leave them unable to block? Upset that you can't activate Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx 2, 3, 4, or even 5 times? Do you get tired of waiting around for your untap step? There has to be a better way!

WELL NOW YOU CAN!

• T1/T2: Some combination of Elvish Mystic or Kiora's Follower is preferable.
• T3: 3 drops (Courser of Kruphix or Hornet Nest) with mana left for counters or Polukranos, World Eater if there is no threat of him being countered.
• T4: Another 3 drop creature, or Polukranos if you already haven't. The idea is to get green devotion up a bit for some Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx abuse. Prophet of Kruphix is a great creature to drop T4 if you can safely get her out. The same goes for Nissa, Worldwaker .
• T5 & Beyond: You should be ready to do some serious damage. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, a Kiora's Follower (preferably 2), and a Triton Tactics can make huge amounts of green mana. Polukranos can clear the board for you and become huge, or you should be able to safely cast Nissa, Worldwaker and/or Sagu Mauler with mana to spare.

• Kiora's Follower + Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for ludicrous mana
• Kiora's Follower + Oracle's Insight + Prophet of Kruphix for tons of card draw.
• Kiora's Follower + Triton Tactics double the effectiveness of other Kiora's Follower combos.
• Prophet of Kruphix + Hornet Nest for surprise hornets!

• There isn't as much mid game threat as I would like. I added Polukranos, World Eater to help although this deck may need a more threatening early 3 drop which doesn't seem to exist in UG.
• While this deck can make a lot of mana, there isn't always a good use for it. Polukranos, World Eater can only be made monstrous once, and he isn't guaranteed to be on the battlefield. Another mana sink or two might be beneficial.
• Kiora's Follower is very important for a lot of the key combos, but also very vulnerable to multiple forms of removal. There are plenty of instant spells to help mitigate the risks, but it's also hard to justify wasting a counter spell to save a 2 drop when you have 5 drops that are equally vulnerable.

Removals:

• 3x Courser of Kruphix. Although I love my Courser, I'm afraid he may not be pulling his weight. Clearing land cards from top deck is great, but the blocker role is already filled by Hornet Nest.

Additions:

• 3x Bow of Nylea. Good for green devotion. Pairs well with Kiora's Follower and Prophet of Kruphix. Provides another mana sink. Can save creatures like Prophet of Kruphix from burn spells or combat tricks. Adds some level of flyer removal. Deathtouch to attacking creatures to boot.


Removals:

• 2x Oracle's Insight . I am hesitant to remove it because of its ability to generate a lot of card draw late in the game, but it does require a lot of supporting combo cards to really make it worthwhile and could be replaced with something more immediately useful.

Additions:

• 2x Kiora, the Crashing Wave . Kiora can potentially shut down a threat I can't deal with for the rest of the game. Also, if she sticks around long enough, she starts spawning some nasty 9/9 kraken tokens a. I am worried that she is too easy to remove though due to her initial loyalty of 2. I know there is no Lightning Bolt in standard at the moment, but there are other burn spells that could remove her pretty easily.
• 2x Nylea, God of the Hunt. This deck will very likely have enough green devotion by T4 or T5 to make Nylea a creature. Although it seems inefficient, she does provide a place to spend left over mana that would otherwise go to waste. Not to mention, polukranos, worldeater would benefit quite a lot from trample.


Removals:

• 2x Sagu Mauler . The Mauler is a great card, but there are some others that may work just a little better with this deck. Hexproof is what really makes him stand out, and what any possible replacement cards are missing. I also haven't tried out his morph mechanic yet, but it seems like it could be useful under the right conditions.

Additions:

• 2x Nessian Wilds Ravager . I really like this card for its potential use with Hornet Nest. It makes your opponent choose between dealing with a 12/12 creature or dealing with a 6/6 creature and 6 hornet tokens.
• 2x Riverwheel Aerialists . Prowess is a nice mechanic to go along with this deck.
• 2x Terra Stomper . A big mean dinosaur that is going to resolve.
• 2x Arbiter of the Ideal . A 4/5 flyer that can put cards on the field when it untaps. Also able to block regular Stormbreath Dragon and sarkahn, dragonspeaker .Could potentially be very useful if there was a way to deliberately tap this guy in addition to simply attacking.


• I've also though about swapping the Mauler with some higher cmc blue finishers, but likely won't. Some ideas were Stormtide Leviathan, Pearl Lake Ancient, or Tromokratis .
