Hogaak, Arisen Necropolis might be banned in Modern, but he's legal in Commander, and he is great.

This is basically a generically good Golgari deck on its own, but Hogaak really can be an engine for the deck. He's technically free to cast (he costs no mana, and in fact you can't use mana to cast him), and he is huge!

An 8/8 with trample is a great threat, but there are a ton of ways to benefit from his size in green and black, mostly by drawing cards with Greater Good, Evolutionary Leap, and others; milling yourself and recasting him with Altar of Dementia; or burning your opponents with Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord or Xathrid Demon.

This is a deck with a ton of ramp and a ton of value. It leans heavily on the graveyard for that value, but it can still work as a decent ramp deck.
