So here's my vision of the Rakdos deck. It's meant to hit hard and fast while multiplying ways of slowing the opponents play and wincons.
I'm in the early stages of developing the deck, it may have major flaws and as you may have noticed, there's still a lot of cards in maybeboard...
Thus the "help !".
Creatures :
-Ash Zealot : 2/2 first strike haste for RR that stops graveyard combos. Says it all.
-Falkenrath Aristocrat : 4/1 flying haste that triggers Morbid while becoming indestructible. Combos with Zealous Conscripts : attack opponent with its own creature then sacrifice it. Epic.
-Gore-House Chainwalker and Lightning Mauler : 3/2 and 2/1 creatures with a possible haste for 1R. They both give +1/+1 to falkenrath.
-Rakdos Cackler : 2/2 for 1CMC. Who said aggro ?
-Vexing Devil : BEST. ONE-DROP. EVER. Triggers morbid when sac.
-Stonewright : is human. Gives the ability to boost creatures with unspent mana, wich proved usefull countless times allready.
-Zealous Conscripts : hastey 3/3, not very cheap but is human and gives you control of an ennemy's creature wich are both great for comboing with Falkenrath and/or getting the damage through.
Instants :
-Tragic Slip and Brimstone Volley : deadly with Morbid (easily triggered), still decent without.
-Searing Spear : best instant burn in STD, for now...
Sorceries :
-Pillar of Flame : cheap, gets rid of undying and other creatures graveyard abilities by exiling them.-Bump in the Night cheap 3 hp direct dame to opponent, with a nice flashback for lategame.
Lands : pretty classic for a R/B.
My questions :
1. Should i swap Falkenrath Aristocrat for Olivia Voldaren ? Should give more burn/late game abilities, but i lose some nice combos/morbid trigger with the sac.
2. Should i try to use Rakdos, Lord of Riots's 2nd ability to cast Bloodgift Demon or Charmbreaker Devils for cheap since alone they would hugely slow my deck. Or maybe Zealous Conscripts for an eventual cheap R to get control and sac an opponent's creature with Falkenrath Aristocrat ?
This deck is based on ixthinon's imba Rakdos Deck Wins and Nihilio's Blood of the Damned deck.
