I need more soldiers! —Aug. 20, 2012
Played against a friend today and had some minor issues against his fast-paced black exalted deck. Thing that was a bit nasty against my deck was that he used Tormented Soul, Knight of Infamy and Duty-Bound Dead along with Rancor and Inquisitor's Flail.
Obviously, Knight of Infamy has protection against my Cloudshift and most of my creatures, which was a bit of a bummer... not to mention the fact that Duty-Bound Dead was hardly worth stealing! However, he did have some creatures worth stealing (Flayer of the Hatebound and Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis) and when they got played I won. Just too bad that they didn't get played often more.. :p
Also, I hardly ever got to play Conjurer's Closet (even though I frequently had them in hand, often by the pair) and Angel of Glory's Rise was a bit redundant as I didn't have any creatures in my graveyard. Turns out I don't play that many...

I know this is a bit boring, but I hope these changes give me just enough protection against aggressive decks that I can survive long enough to use my Conjurer's Closet. Before my battlefield was a bit empty before turn 4-6 (Cathedral Sanctifier always being picked off), and that's what I hope to change. I don't want to change it too much, but I noticed that I lacked cards to play on turn two and four a bit too often. Also I really missed having a few burn spells for lousy, but annoying creatures.
Elite Inquisitor is a versatile defender with first strike (which I need), Odric, Master Tactician has first strike as well, works well with Zealous Conscripts, and is a soldier. Acting as a sweeper, Captain of the Watch gives all my soldiers +1/+1, vigilance and is flickerable.
Please give me your thoughts.

Wow, this is a fun deck. At first, I thought it would be too slow in general, but I playtested it a little, and it actually works pretty well. +1

@DarthTrevyn: It is quite fun when an opponents' best creature turns traitor for the rest of the game. Oh, the look on their faces... Priceless. :D
@thegeekguy: Well, Ghostly Flicker is a bit ambitious for me. No way I'd be able to pay the mana for Zealous Conscripts and Ghostly Flicker in one turn. In that case I feel that it is simply easiest and cheapest to exile it with Oblivion Ring instead. It's usually not useful for my deck, anyway. Smart idea though.. :3
