I wanted to play with the big bosses of the Eldrazi, but I already have a number of decks that ramp up in conventional ways, and didn't feel like building another. Contemplating the eldritch monstrosities eventually twisted my fragile mind to the blasphemous image of High Tide on Isochron Scepter, and it all went downhill from there. It's really dirty, and I feel sincerely guilty for building it.
