Built this deck a while ago, but couldn't build it with Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time in Modern. With the January 23rd bannings, this deck gains a lot of power, and it's basically my dream deck. Win-cons include Batterskull, Creeping Tar Pit, Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker, and Master of Cruelties. It's Grixis Cruel Control, except it doesn't actually run Cruel Ultimatum because it's rubbish, so yeah. Feedback is appreciated, and I'd like to build a sideboard if at all possible.

Major Deck Update — April 2, 2015

At the advice of 15bernardom, this deck has undergone some major updates. For one, I am ditching hand disruption for more stable control, as well as moving Vampire Nighthawk out of the mainboard. This deck now has more counterspells and control than the previous build did, and will hopefully be able to stabilize the board like a real control deck, rather than the midrange-y control-y thing I had earlier. Remand is not being run in this deck, as this deck is a pure control build, not meant to give people their threats back. Similarly, Cryptic Command is too heavy on my manabase (and my wallet), and therefore does not warrant a spot in the board.
