This is my first tapped out deck. Im thinking of playing this in a tourny in January.
Im not sure what do do about the agents + coordinated assaults? Think it is worth it to use a good portion of my deck hoping to draw both? Two agents on the battlefield and an assault in hand is pretty trixy.
The way the deck works is you basically just shut down any sort of early game aggro, then turn it around with beast-mode creatures, with the utilities to support them.
Also the thoughtseize is something I either want to add more of, or take out completely. Comments? They are nice turn 1 2 and 3 but after that, im wanted to get shit on the board and let Rakdos return do the rest
My friends and I play quite often, and the competitive decks I play this one against are a blue devotion deck (pretty much a copy of the top 8), a Gruul hard aggro deck and a black white green junk deck.
The blue devotion deck is beatable as long as cloudfin raptors don't beat me down for 1 until im dead. Doomblades are subbed in to replace the dreadbores, which dont do a damn thing against MOTW. Maybe I should sub in some tormented souls to keep up with his raptors (evolved obvs)
Gruul aggro is hard to deal with using this deck. Do I use my removal on his mana ramp early or save it for his big guys? Thoughtseizes are useful here to stop him from doing one of the stupid turn 1 mystic, turn 2 burning tree into sylvan.
The junk deck is just stupid. Friend has made top 8 with it. How do you deal with a deck that makes absolutely no sense?? Turn 1 thoughtseize, throw in a couple of sin collectors, and goodbye hand. Voices or Resurgence and blinking obzedat and im done :(
I would really appreciate it if people play tested this deck and let me know how they find it at a competitive level. All opinions welcome.
