My Heroic Counter deck calls for getting Heroic creatures down early, beefing them up with counters and making them elusive with cheap spells and repeatable abilities.

Fabled Hero is our heavy weight attacker, and sticking Aqueous Form on him allows for some serious damage. Favored Hoplite doesn't hit as hard, but the damage prevention helps him stick around. The deck lacks a bit for card draw, but the Battlewise Hoplite gives us some card selection. Grateful Apparition, Abzan Falconer and Phalanx Leader help enable the team.

The instant and sorcery choices are designed to be cheap and hit two creatures, making the most of the Heroic mechanic. Pro tip - Bioshift triggers the Heroic ability before the spell resolves. Target a Heroic creature with no counters, watch it gain a counter, then move it to a creature that needs it.

Gideon Blackblade's +1 ability won't trigger Heroic, but he can gain +1/+1 counters when he's a creature and benefits from proliferation.

This is the shell of an old Theros deck I've since updated for the pioneer format. Suggestions are welcome.
