This Deck's Theme Song.

This deck is a life-gain deck based around the new Heliod. This is easily the most fluid and easy to run deck I have ever built and I am DAMNED proud of it. This primer should give you an idea of how to build a Heliod deck of your very own. This deck is built around ETB effects and having lots of wimpy little creatures that can hold the line to any assault until you can search for and pull out one of your infinite combos. With cards like Endless Horizons and a ton of mana rocks and mana in general you will never be mana jacked and from how ridiculously easy it is to gain life with this deck you can auto win the entire game in an instant.

So, each time you gain life with a creature coming into play you can potentially have something out like Daxos, Blessed by the Sun Suture Priest and of course your commander. Then, let's say you also have a Wall of Reverence out on the field as well and a Cradle of Vitality on daxos. This happened to me in a game recently, but is an example of how crazy multiple triggers of life gain can get. So, with these on the field, you play a Giver of Runes This triggers a creature comes into play and you gain a life.

We will pretend we have eight mana open right now. So, this is going to trigger us gaining 1 life and daxos is paid to get a counter, but we gained a life so our commander puts a counter on a creature, let's say it is daxos, and then you get the second trigger of gaining a life so we do it again to daxos-so daxos.

So then our commander and the enchantment now has given daxos 4 counters. 2 from paying the 2 mana from the enchantment and two from our commander. ACTUALLY!, Just for fun, because I had it on the field we will say we have Linden on the field too! So we attack with him and since we attacked we gained 1 life, get another counter on daxos from the commander and we are now swinging with a 7 something with high toughness creature. Assuming our opponent didn't kill it, it now comes down to our endstep which we pay the remaining two mana and because of the wall-Daxos now gained us like 7 life and we paid the remaining mana to give him 7 counters, which means that each turn Daxos is going to grow exponentially and it doesn't even have to be him. Throw the enchantment on the commander which is indestructible for greater effect.

The Basic win cons are having card combos like Wall of Reverence and Cradle of Vitality and a few turns out. Others are auto win win cons such as your Approach of the Second Sun Felidar Sovereign which is EXTREMELY easy to win the game when you have cradle or wall of reverence out-or both. This deck is all about gaining life after all. You have a multitude of ETB's in this deck with a lot of creatures. Heck, this deck gains life out the butt mid and late game where this deck REALLY likes to shine! Also, Aetherflux Reservoir is needless to say that it is extremely easy to win a game. I mean, heck, EARLY game the Felidar is a wincon. I have won a game by like turn 5 with him. Maybe if this deck gave me mana sources much faster than it would also be faster. Also, just simply having Walking Ballista and your commander out means you win! Give walking Ballista life link and every time you remove a counter you get a counter back and gain life. Infinite Life + Infinite Damage at the same time!
Sun Titan + Angelic Renewal + Blasting Station = infinite damage

Crucible of Worlds + a Strip Mine Fun little thing to do when you are 1v1 or your opponent has multiple lands you don't like.

Famished Paladin + Resplendent Mentor - Infinite life

Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista - Infinite Damage AND LIFE! WOO HOO!

There is probably more.
