This is a possible Naya Dual Nature / Food Chain / Lifeline Commander combo deck if Commander had existed in 2001 after the release of Planeshift. While mostly iterative of the Invasion version of the same deck, the addition of Flametongue Kavu as a premier creature removal spell with Pygmy Kavu to potentially add card draw, the cohesion of the deck only improved.

If a loop with Hazezon Tamar, Dual Nature and Lifeline could be established, the "Legend rule" at the time would have made any sort of sacrifice outlet to take advantage of the token generation extremely powerful: "420.5e If two or more Legends or Legendary permanents with the same name are in play, all except the one with the earliest timestamp are put into in their owners' graveyards. This is called the "Legend rule." In the event of a tie for earliest timestamp, each Legend with the same name is put into its owner's graveyard." - Comprehensive Rules April 23, 1999
