Snakes, Spiders, and -1/-1 counters, Oh my!

Let's talk about Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons for a second. She likes snakes, and having a lot of them. What she doesn't like is you. So she's going to ruin your day by keeping your board clean and growing her army of snakes, spiders, and scarabs.

About the Deck

At first, there doesn't appear to be a whole lot of synergy in the deck, just a lot of cards that throw around -1/-1 counters like confetti. However, I found out that a few cards in this deck work really well together to keep your boardstate strong and your opponent's board clean.

Combos for days.

Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons + Black Sun's Zenith or Liliana's Influence: Lots and lots of snakes when your opponent's creatures die. The snakes that die from -1/-1 counters get immediately replaced.

Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons + Midnight Banshee: More snakes. Every turn.

Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons + Nest of Scarabs + -1/-1 counters: You're getting snakes and Scarabs now, no one can stop this madness.

Essence of the Wild + Token Generation: The little snakes and scarabs aren't so small anymore. They enter as 6/6 copies.

Parallel Lives + Primal Vigor + Second Harvest: This is the point where no one wants to play with you anymore.

Black Market + Dictate of Erebos + Grave Pact: You now have more mana than you know what to do with and all of your opposing creatures are dead.

Woodfall Primus + Quillspike or Decimator Beetle: A lot of pain and removal.

Some Utility

Necroskitter: Start stealing all of your opponent's dying creatures. Insult to injury.

Plaguemaw Beast: Sacrifice a snake to proliferate all those lovely -1/-1 counters.

Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter: 60 snakes? Sounds more like a 60/60 Construct to me.

Liliana, Death Wielder: Manual -1/-1 counters, removal, and returning all of your dead creatures back. Nice.
