The Deck

This is a god tribal deck, while it used to contain every god card I found that it was more more thematic, and viable, if we just stuck to the Theros Pantheon

Playing This Deck

Your main win conditions are things like Helm of the Gods on our commander here Golos, Tireless Pilgrim for commander damage, wiping the board with Wrath of God and Damnation while gods are out and on, or returning all creatures from the graveyard with Replenish or Open the Vaults while Purphoros, God of the Forge is on the battlefield. Other ways of winning include getting out all the archetypes and smashing creatures into player's helpless faces, or whatever else you can think of. We have a lot of great cards in this deck to work with and the synergy is off the CHARTS!!

For mulligan try for at LEAST a 3 land hand and if possible one of the Enchantress's for early game to mid game card draw. If possible the best starting creatures would be Argothian Enchantress , Zur the Enchanter , Nyx Weaver , Dryad of the Ilysian Grove , and Daxos the Returned . Nyx Weaver will allow us to start setting up a nasty Replenish or Open the Vaults plays to catapult us into the top spot, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Argothian Enchantress will completely fix your early and mid game and Zur the Enchanter as well as Daxos the Returned will allow us to begin dictating the board state. Being able to pull out a Blind Obedience with Xur, the Enchanter could put us WAY ahead.

Moving on from mulligan playing Golos, Tireless Pilgrim on turn 5 is preferable, and dropping Temple of the False God from our deck will allow us to go off the next turn given no one answers us. In general this deck plays a very passive early and sometimes mid game so be very careful with your politics and with how hard you go. Sometimes going off a turn or two after others have already set up will be better since players will believe you to be the weakest threat.

Adventurers Take Head

Some things to keep in mind is how difficult it can be to "turn on" most of the gods. Because of this it is really important you use cards like Plea for Guidance to pull Starfield of Nyx and Sunbird's Invocation to accelerate (1.) the rate at which your gods become creatures (2.) the rate at which you flow through your deck TO the rest of your gods and win cons.

This is a deck built for FLAVOR FIRST, and viability second. While this deck can and will absolutely crush games you are going to need to play smart and think ahead.

Lastly this deck has A LOT OF TRIGGERS. Make sure you are familiar with how the gods interact with each other, how many cards you're drawing on a turn, and how to stack these triggers. Mana management will be important given cards like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx generating a lot of a specific TYPE, keep a counter somewhere of what you have floating so you can take advantage of your god's activated abilities as well as Golos, Tireless Pilgrim 's activated abilities

Have fun!!
