This deck was built around Ghalta, Primal Hunger . Once I saw that card, I fell in love. Then came the puzzling factor of how to drop that beast as early as possible. Solution... Lupine Prototype . After that, I decided to add Rhonas the Indomitable , because having 5/5 indestructible deathtouch on turn 3 is just crazy. I then threw in Hazoret the Fervent and Bloodrage Brawler to help with Rhonas and Ghalta. And I also found that they work great with Honored Hydra , as the Embalm cost is 2 less than the casting cost. Oath of Nissa helps to dig and Colossal Majesty is a great draw engine, seeing as how all of the creatures in the deck are power 4 or higher. Pulse of Murasa allows me to get back land or creatures that I've lost to discarding or death. Plus the 6 life bump is always helpful. Blossoming Defense wards off removal and Fling is just the ultimate double whammy after a big swing with Ghalta. I added Heart of Kiran to add a little flying to the mix. The ultimate goal is to get an opening hand consisting of 1 Ghalta, 2 Prototype's, ( Or 1 with a Rhonas), 1 Fling and 3 land.
Turn 2 - Prototype,
Turn 3 - Prototype or Rhonas,
Turn 4 - Ghalta,
Turn 5 - Big swing and then a Fling of Ghalta
