you call this land destruction when you only have 6 land destruction spells? check out my own land destruction deck. it has 28 cards that can destroy lands.

Very well constructed. One of the more mathmatically competitive Ponza Decks I've seen.

One problem I have with it, is the mainboard Thrun, the Last Troll.

I know like it seems like a weird beef to have, but I feel that he's overkill because he's very mediocre against some of your worst match-ups, while being almost an auto win against some of your best match-ups.

I know it is a quite a meta tech, but I would personally just trade it for a 22 land.

dont tell me to "learn to count". when i looked at this deck, there were SIX land destruction cards. you've changed it since then. and if you're using Primal Command to bounce lands, then congrats on wasting 5 mana. you'd be better off using Incendiary Command to outright destroy the land and deal 4 damage.

colton815 you are stupid dude, the deck has never changed as far as the land destruction is concerned. Also using primal command to bounce land does make sense in a lot of cases because often they don't reach enough land to cast the spells they have that can give them a shot of winning, and that extra turn is worth it.

Primal Command is actually considered a rather powerful tool in both Ponza and Tooth and Nail decks.

It's always great to see another Ponza deck here on T/O, and yours looks very solid.

I notice you marked it 'Competitive' ... is that aspirational, or do you have info on your tournament results? Either way's fine by me, it's just that if you have solid results, I'm wondering how the deck's been playing ...

Draw well!

hey cheers for the comment and the upvote :D i don't have results to post as i play xmage, but i can say it does rather well i do get a fair amount of 5/0 with this deck, i just tweaked the sb a bit because the metagame has changed and i think the abrade is good because it can answer creatures or kill artifacts such as ensnaring bridge.
