Shifting Ceratops shuts down simic flash. If you don't beat face right away game one then after side boarding their should be no problem. Field of Ruin is played in the deck mainly to shut down shitscape decks among other not as frequently seen possible threats (same as Memorial to War). Fry, Veil of Summer, more ceratops, and Flame Sweep pretty much cover the needs to answer most if not all the shitty tricks people play in today's standard meta. So choose gruul and play some classic tap out huge threats monster loving magic. And always remember to eat the young.

Most of the above still holds true. Updated for throne even though threos spoilers are about half out now. Oh well, Gruul still kicks ass baby!
