* I have re-made this deck to be more consistent and all around better found here! Gruul Aggro (Turn 3 Win) Please take a look at the new and improved deck! *

I hope you enjoy this build. I believe it is the best modern bloodrush deck I have seen on the website so far!

Win Turn 3 Option 1:

(There is multiple combinations for the turn 3 win, as long as you can turn one mana ramp creature, turn 2 Fanatic of Xenagos or Prophetic Flamespeaker , turn 3 buff up creature!)

Opening Hand: Forest, Mountain, Birds of Paradise, Prophetic Flamespeaker , Rubblebelt Maaka , Ghor-Clan Rampager , Slaughterhorn .

Turn 1: lay forest, play Birds of Paradise.

Turn 2: lay mountain, play Prophetic Flamespeaker .

Turn 3: lay a land recieved through drawing on turn 2 or 3, then attack with Prophetic Flamespeaker and bloodrush with Rubblebelt Maaka , Ghor-Clan Rampager , and Slaughterhorn for 22 trample damage and game! Furthermore, you can throw Mutagenic Growth for some extra damage and no mana!

Win Turn 3 Option 2:

Opening Hand: Mountian, Forest, Birds of Paradise, Fanatic of Xenagos , Assault Strobe , Ghor-Clan Rampager , Mutagenic Growth.

Turn 1: play forest, lay Birds of Paradise

Turn 2: play mountain, lay Fanatic of Xenagos , they choose to give him a +1/+1 counter for tribute.

turn 3: play land drawn during turn 2 or 3, cast Assault Strobe , attack with Fanatic of Xenagos , bloodrush with Ghor-Clan Rampager and Rubblebelt Maaka , cast for 2 life Mutagenic Growth for 26 double strike trample damage and game! and if you drew a second Mutagenic Growth you can play that as well!

What happens if I get to mid/late game???

Wild Beastmaster combo:

Wild Beastmaster is amazing in Gruul bloodrush for mid/late game (aka casual or multiplayer games). How she works is you declare attackers (including Wild Beastmaster), her ability goes on the stack, and in response to her ability on the stack you bloodrush her before blockers are declared, spreading that juicy bloodrush powerful goodness to all other attacking creatures. Thus, instead only one creature getting a power buff from bloodrush, all of the attacking creatures do. Nearly all creatures in this deck that you would play have trample, so this combo really hurts.

Super combo breaker:

Now what makes Wild Beastmaster even better is if you have two out. Lets call them Beastmaster A and Beastermaster B. Beastmaster A's ability hits first before Beastmaster B's on the stack. If you bloodrush Beastmaster A with Ghor-Clan Rampager she is now a 5/5 and gives all other attacking creatures +5/+5. Thus, Beastmaster B is now a 6/6, and then B's ability triggers giving every other attacking creature plus +6/+6. So, every attacking creature (other than wild Beastmaster B who is a just a 6/6) gets +11/+11 off of one bloodrush card. Now I am sure you can imagine how deadly this can get especially when you add in more bloodrush cards, trample on nearly all creatures in this deck, and double strike cards like Prophetic Flamespeaker and Assault Strobe . So, basically if you don't win by turn 3, you will demolish in another turn or two regardless!

disclaimer: This deck will run faster if you take out the Wild Beastmaster and put in bloodrush cards, Might of Old Krosa , or groundsweell. Wild Beastmaster is better for longer games or multiplayer games. She is great for casual 1v1, but if you want win ASAP like in competitive modern, I suggest sideboarding her!

Also, if you find you have run out of bloodrush creatures, Domri Rade works really well for that. His +1 ability allows you to draw creatures, and Prophetic Flamespeaker also allows you to play potentially two cards from the top of your deck, which could include a land for turn if you have yet to play one. This will help especially in late game when you need to refresh you bloodrush hand.

Sideboard:

Vines of Vastwood or Blossoming Defense is also a really great card against control decks. Play this card in response to a Void Snare or straight destruction like Go for the Throat. Then, you can kick it to make the creature bigger for another mana! This card is crazy good against control/destruction decks!

This rest of these sideboard cards will slow down your deck and are very situational depending on the deck your facing.

Lightning Bolt is good for destroying early game blockers and getting rid of pesky creatures. This also helps if the opponent is a few life points from death! I will run Lightning Bolt against control decks as well to bait out counters and destroy some of their spell combo creatures, ex: Guttersnipe

Naturalize is nice in any green sideboard if you are looking to compete in modern tournaments. Affinity decks are quite popular now and destroying some of their combo pieces will hopefully slow them down!

Maybeboard:

Deus of Calamity Is a great card if you are looking for a heavy hitter, generally you can plop down this giant 6/6 trampler on turn 4, and if he gets through at least 6 damage you can really set back an opponent with land destruction. The down side is he is mana costly and more mid/late game.

Ghost Quarter is nice with the increased popularity of Tron decks. This card will hopefully shut down a Tron deck in it's tracks, however it will slow down a Gruul deck as well due to the colorless mana. Only run if necessary.

Domri Rade is a nice card, but I found that there was never a good time to play him in modern. He's nice in casual or multiplayer games because he will help you draw into bloodrush, but he isn't great in a 1v1 setting.

Edit 1:I set the sideboard quantities to 1 to lower the total price indicator because the sideboard is not necessary, and this is a budget deck. I run a playsetplay set of all sideboard cards, but this will increase the cost of deck by about 50 dollars.

Edit 2: replaced Temur Battle Rage with Assault Strobe Have fun!

Edit: 3 added in 2 Elvish Mystic and took out 2 Slaughterhorn because of how crucial a turn one mana ramp is to this deck. Also, added in Stomping Ground for mana flexibility. Added Vines of Vastwood to the side board from main board to make room for Groundswell, and added Blossoming Defense to the side board for protection.
