This is my take on Gruul beatdown, with a specialized focus on nom-creature spell cast punishment in EDH. I play against a Dimir unblockable Ninja deck; an Azorious Tax deck; and, a Dimir Mill deck. The cards herein are built to punish an opponent for casting non-creature spells; activating creature and artifact abilities; destroying enchantment or artifacts that make it to the field; all the while, you mana ramp up for your high-end creatures and overwhelm your opponent’s into submission! Most cards I collected in booster packs over the years, so not all of these cards were bought specifically to construct this deck, and bought only a select few cards on budget. I am constantly on the lookout for new cards to interchange with ones that are more optimal, so the creatures can easily be switched out for something you find more beneficial, or more suited towards your own personal build! Should you decide to play this deck, you’ll find your playgroup pressured and under duress from both your heavy-hitting creatures and the constant damage they’ll be taking on non-creature card casts!
