If I can make a few suggestions, you may wanna consider more low-costed dragons with haste, or perhaps even some good ETBs. If I could recommend a few, I'd say Thundermaw Hellkite, which is especially good against decks running Lingering Souls, Glorybringer as well is fantastic as it also has removal whenever it attacks if you need it, but also and probably one of the best additions would be Stormbreath Dragon being it literally dodges so much removal in the format; Path to Exile, Fatal Push and Lightning Bolt, while also being a hasty 4/4 beatstick that can eventually make itself monstrous, turning into a 7/7 that can potentially end the game with it's burn ability. I'd say if nothing else, definitely give that one a try.

I like your suggestions. Thundermaw Hellkite is so strong! Also Stormbreath Dragon probably I move the 2 Torrential Gearhulk into sideboard (for control maches, Snapcaster Mage is too expensive) and replace them with one of those. Also what you think about the 3 copies of Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury ? I found that played with dash is a great thing and do many damages!

Have you considered Dragonlord's Servant? It gets your big fellas out atleast a turn earlier or a couple if you can keep em on the board. At the least they are small chumps for your early game. I would also recommend Haven of the Spirit Dragon just in case you get mana screwed at any point.

Hi! In previous version I had run Haven of the Spirit Dragon but I found Graven Cairns more useful because gives me coloured mana for other spells. Also I think that Dragonlord's Servant is better for RG dragons.. because I want a sort of control deck in first turn and I prefer the Terminate as 2 mana drop..

So instead of being aggressive and getting a haste dragon out a turn earlier, youd rather play defense. Okay, that makes sense, i get it.

Yes.. Modern is a fast format that in few turns let the opponent to have a massive attack force... so dragolord's servant is a weak defender ands dies by most of removal spells without problems... think about Lightning Bolt or Path to Exile.. anyway thanks for the comment!

Your logic makes no sense! If they are gonna waste their spells on removal of something as meaningless (as you put it) as a 1/3 then thats one less removal spell for your other permanents and if they path it, youre gettin a free a land and its done its job anyway...ill stop commenting on your thread, as its starting to hurt my brain. Have a good one

Oookay... I faced may of meta decks in last tournament with this configuration (I talk about high competitive decks like Grixis Death's shadow, Bant Company and Living End) and I won with the first 2 2-1 and lose 2-1 with Living End. I found the deck very good so I think that put 4 1/3 only to play first my dragons is not a good choice! As I said before I prefer the control approach. And this approach let you live longer.. also I want to build a deck like that and not a sort of "dragon-aggro". It's not the right colours to do this. The servants are so good in RG.

Hi! Have you considered Silumgar's Scorn?

mattman856 says... #16

Like you said above with the playing anticipate because you get to choose, you should instead play Opt which is now modern legal! It scries then draws and is also an instant when you would like to hold mana for removal but the opponent doesn't play a creature, you can play Opt on end step. The instant speed makes it a better Serum Visions and the mana cost/scry then draw makes it better than both anticipate and serum visions. Cool Deck!

HI Lowenstein and mattman856 thanks for the comment!

So in the previous version I also run Silumgar's Scorn and they are so good but the problem with this card is the 2 condition that asks: 1. You have to have a Dragon in your hand if you want to counter without problems something. 2. The double blue mana that I some game didn't game so fast. This 2 reason is the only 2 reason why I remove silumgar's scorn from this deck. I thought that Mana Leak is better because is simple to play than the scorn. I work on my sideboard and probably I will find a place for it! Also I have to try the deck as well with mana leak in maindeck! But yours is a good suggestion! Appreciate it!

Talking about Opt... that's a great card! I love it! A Serum Visions at instant speed is very interesting but the nice thing about serum is the scry 2! It can probably became a better Anticipate.. I will try it! And by trying we will discover what is better!

So thanks to both of you for the comment and for the update! Love it!
