Hi all!

This is your standard Grixis Energy, with a reanimator feel to it. Let me know what you think below, and if you have any recommendations.

My meta is very Merfolk and Vehicle heavy, as such my sideboard represents that. If yall have any other suggestions, I will add them to a maybeboard for the sideboard, for your own deckbuilding purposes.

Strategy

Lost Legacy targeting

(If you see ub lands): The Scarab God, (vs Ramunap): Hazoret, the Fervent, (if GPG): Refurbish, (vs. Approach) Approach of the Second Sun. If you get a second one, best shot is getting rid of Scarab god killers (Vraska's Contempt, Hour of Devastation, ect ect)

Deck strategy

Game oneT1 - 4: Just focus on 1 for 1. Fatal push, harnessed lightning, abrade are all there for a reason. Drawing from Glint-Sleeve Siphoner is always nice. Attack anytime your opponent has less than 2 creatures on board. Search for azcanta is another alternative if you didnt get glint-sleeve. Filters draws, if you see Ravenous Chupacabra throw him away every time. Rarely worth the hardcast, many better cards to have in hand.

T5 - 6: A lot of our midrange threats come down here. Game one, theres usually no problem throwing The Scarab god down immediately. Gonti and Glorybringer are also good tosses here. Liliana, you usually want to hold onto for later in the game.

T7 - Endgame: Pummel your opponent with reanimation and value town!

Game 2/3 (small changes here)

T1 - 4: Same as above

T5 - 6: Your opponent WILL have answers to The Scarab god now! Do not cast him here, instead wait for T7. This is true most matchups!

T7 - End: If you cast scarab god T7, make sure you have a good way to make him stick (negate, . No deck thats competitive, will not have an answer for him!

OUT: 3x Vraska's Contempt, 1x Gonti, 2x Ravenous Chupacabra

REASON:

Magma Spray - Exile Scrapheap scroungers

Abrade - Kill vehicles

Cartouche - Lifegain, target weaker creatures to force unliscensed disintegration on them.

Vraska's Contempt - Expensive, and slow in the race

Gonti - We dont want many of the cards in their deck!

Ravenous Chupacabra - Expensive removal!

Merfolk

IN: 2x Lost Legacy, 2x Sweltering Suns,

OUT: 1x Chandra, 1x Liliana, 1x Gonti, 1x Vraska's Contempt

REASON:

Lost Legacy - Hit the lord, or they get out of control fast

Sweltering Suns - Cast this turn 3, and you usually get a 3 for 1. Smacks them down to a manageable level every time.

Chanda - If we made it to this point, we have either won or are fitting neck and neck. Chandra can only kill 1 of them, where at this point if its neck and neck we want to kill 2 of them at least.

Liliana -

Gonti - we dont have merfolk, we dont want merfolk

vraska's contempt - to expensive.
