Updated Sideboard and Description —April 27, 2017

Copycat was banned so i have made the following changes:

Out

1x Cathartic Reunion - It's a little bit slower than I would like so I dropped down to 2 copies

2x Trespasser's Curse - That was only in the sideboard for Copycat, since the deck got banned there are better cards I can run.

1x Scarab Feast - I haven't seen nearly as many graveyard decks so this count goes down

In

1x Collective Brutality - With the apparent surge of U/R Control decks adding another one of these seems really good. The less instants and sorceries they have the better

2x Dispossess - You could run Lost Legacy here, but I believe this has more relevant targets since it hits Torrential Gearhulk, Dynavolt Tower, and with a small bit of luck even Heart of Kiran if you're desperate.

1x By Force - Copycat got banned so that means vehicles will come back in full swing. It also doubles as a kill spell for Torrential Gearhulk and Dynavolt Tower, Control's two favorite finishers.

What I don't understand is why you don't want to put Shadow of the Grave in. It's such a solid card for this deck (believe me I've done playtesting). Plus, Hell isn't a bad word, just a bad place. :)

Hellbent is an actual keyword for having no cards in hand...

Heckbent is the unofficial keyword for having one or fewer cards in hand like one Hazoret the Fervent.

I try not to cuss because it's unprofessional and unneeded on here, but I have no issues cussing lol. The use of Heckbent was intentional.

Shadow of the Grave isn't being included because I often only cycle one card at a time. The tax for making a drake and still leaving mana up for kill spells doesn't allow for the kind of massive cycling that Shadow of the Grave wants to do. Trust me, that kind of card works infinitely better in a combo based deck like Scorprix's than it does in mine. Getting a single card back isn't worth a single slot in the 75.

It gets REALLY tricky on here to explain the finer points about how your deck works, don't you think?

I've got masses of text to try to explain how to play my deck, but there are still times where I have to choose between two equally good lines of play.

I did not know about Heckbent or Hellbent.

Interesting.

Hell isn't counted as a swear word in many countries, but I believe it is in America.

I guess that does make sense for Shadow of the Grave but thanks for teaching me of a new keyword for Magic.

Cards like Infernal Tutor come to mind when thinking of Hellbent although most of them are aggro cards naturally. And again, Heckbent is not an actual keyword its just one that a decent amount of the community uses that I've seen

I was actually referring to Shadowstorm Vizier and Flameblade Adept. Turn one of the adept into a turn 2 constrictor into the Shadow of the Grave and maybe something like Renegade Tactics or Rush of Adrenaline sounds like a pretty aggressive play.

The vizier of course could be your turn 2 play, but that would mean turn 1 or 3 would be your discard outlet. Of course Dimir has a lot of options for cards to recur from the grave right now, so there is always that to make the discarding less of a draw back.

Felidar Guardian is banned. How does that effect your build?

No it isn't, the B&R list was updated 2 days ago... I definitely need a source on that TakeInventory

Posted just a couple hours ago. Looks like you can go easy on holding up removal for FG, so your deck seems overall stronger.
