Mana has been great, I just started playtesting so I've only got about 10 games or so but I have yet to get color screwed Cragon18. As for New Perspectives... I'm still iffy on it. It's really good when I can play it safely but I rarely find myself needing it or wishing I had it. The deck functions really well without it so currently it feels like a strictly worse Opportunity... I think I'm going to cut it for another couple counterspells honestly but I'm still seeing if its worth it. I definitely think it fits way better in a deck like Shadow Perspective Combo (Competitive) than in mine.

The deck has been super fun and it does fairly well against aggro decks so far.

What about the two mana one 3 flyer that gets +1/+1 whenever you cycle a card that would be a good win-con

Shadowstorm Vizier doesn't cycle itself and in the early turns its absolutely critical I hold up removal and counter magic. Especially since I usually have to take turn 3 off, its crucial that I interact on turn 2. I just dont think the Vizier does enough

Collective Brutality seems like a really good enabler and flexible spell overall. You can peek at your opponent's hand, work as a kill spell on low toughness creatures, and/or help drain if the game drags on. I made one like this, except it was more aggro oriented with the Vizier and the Flameblade. Also, there is potential for a T3 Jund kill if there was a deck with Noose Constrictor, Flameblade Adept, and Shadow of the Grave T1 Mountain, put out the adept, T2 Blooming Marsh put out Winding Constrictor, swing for 1 with the Adept, T3 discard your whole hand (should be 5 cards approx.), then Shadow those cards back and discard them again to swing for lethal :)

I really like Collective Brutality, I'm still iffy though on where its slot is however.

i tried making this deck, but with enigma drake, cryptic serpent, bedlam reveler, baral, and maybe shadowstorm vizier.

Zaueski to be honest, I think it should replace Fatal Push, and here's why.

Early game, there will probably be 1-2 mana creatures that you can Push to make your life easier. Come late game, however, since you can't trigger revolt consistently, it will become more of a dud. Brutality might not be the best kill spell, but it doesn't have to be. It can act as a kill, a drain spell, or as control, but it's best when it can be all of the above if you discard 2 cards and pay 2 mana (then pay at least 1 more for the Haven). IMO, unless you're bound and determined on using Push or planning on putting more revolt activating cards in, it should be SB'd, if not removed.

@The__Worthy2000 thats fair, I'm definitely seeing a lot less Heart of Kiran which is the main reason I main-decked it. Collective Brutality is definitely the stronger card here I think.

with so many cards that cycle I feel like 25 lands is too many, I obviously haven't tested though so it may be correct, I would try 22-24

Zaueski,
I tested this against my God-heavy brew, Hellbent Amonwolves (AKH); here are a few thoughts:

  • Turn three was absolutely critical. It seemed like every game came down to "Do I tap out for Drake Haven or do I hold some mana up to counter Rhonas the Indomitable?" I could never figure out what the right answer was, but some God-hate in sideboard might make the decision easier.
  • A couple times, I found myself REALLY wishing for "just one more" card with Cycling or a discard effect. It's probably just variance or me not playing your deck optimally, but I wanted to mention, in case the ratio of Cycle/discard cards to payoff cards is slanted just a little too much towards payoffs.
  • I've no idea how the meta will shake out of course, but if you want some God-hate, I've found Oblivion Strike, Burn from Within, and -1/-1 counter effects (e.g., Soul-Scar Mage) to be especially oppressive.

Good luck (and good skill) on the brew!
