Grixis Counterburn Skelemental Horror

This is a fast combo deck with high damage output that readily kills by turn 3-4 whilst maintaining good interaction. It has switch sideboard plan of counterburn.

It makes use of the new Lightning Skelemental and Unearth and Fiery Islet .

Sideboard plan - swap out graveyard cards that will get hated for counterspells that chip to tick up Bloodchief Ascension . Once active, your counterspells effectively deal 4 damage and heal two, whilst defending your Bloodchief Ascension . This is filthy good counterburn, especially if they've sided in their graveyard hate.

Note that before you have to sacrifice a Lightning Skelemental you can instead sacrifice the Skelemental to a Thud , or just flip Thing in the Ice   to return all creatures to hand, including Skelemental, very nasty with a discard effect on the stack from Skelemental or Inquisition of Kozilek .

Use Unearth to either return Skelemental or to complete a Thing in the Ice   & Vampire Hexmage board wipe attack. Use Thud to kill with a Skelemental or Transformed Thing in the Ice.

Post sideboard use countermagic to defend your big threats such as Bloodchief Ascension , Lightning Skelemental , or Thing in the Ice  . Also use Inquisition of Kozilek , Collective Brutality to clear their hand of instants before casting a late game Skelemental. You can discard creatures to Collective Brutality to immediately reanimate with Unearth .
