I have seen Grenzo used with goblin tribal but i was much more interested in making the deck focus around using his ability a bunch of times each turn. I know the deck is really dependent on being able to use the commanders ability but i guess i like to play quirky decks. I'm also trying to avoid paying too much for the deck so keep that in mind when you suggest or question a card selection.

I've narrowed down the maybe-board quite a bit and have been play testing the deck for some time now. For my personal group I found land destruction; Ravenous Baboons, Avalanche Riders, Fulminator Mage, Magus of the Moon, to draw me more aggro than they helped. But if 1v1 or cut throat is more your style then they are probably a good inclusion.

Cards I'd probably put in if they were cheaper: Bob, Crucible of Worlds, Ensnaring Bridge, Metalworker, Imperial Recruiter

I Like Black Market and Braid of Fire but with out graveyard retrieval they likely will be sent to the graveyard with Grenzo, Dungeon Warden so they have been maybe-boarded.

How it Plays:

I almost always am playing Grenzo on turn two unless I have greaves or cloak in my hand; and I know that all the creatures in the deck work with him while he is at 2 power. With 55 creatures in the deck the majority of my activations will hit creatures.With non-creatures staying in the graveyard I have included cards like: Buried Ruin, Drownyard Temple, Sequestered Stash, Arcbound Reclaimer, Junk Diver, Myr Retriever, and Workshop Assistant to work with that.

I have turned away from the beatdown style of the deck and have had a lot more fun playing synergy/combo. The deck can get infinite mana with Ashnod's Altar+Soldevi Digger/reito lanturn+Marionette Master/Sengir Autocrat/Siege-Gang Commander. Doning this with Marionette Master has the added bonus of infinite damage. Other ways to go off is with infinite Enter/Leave the battle field triggers. Blood Artist/Falkenrath Noble/Zulaport Cutthroat+Soldevi Digger+Workhorse will end the game and Heartstone/Pawn of Ulamog make reito lanturn or Priest of Gix/Priest of Urabrask+sac outlet work for this combo.
