ProliferHatin' means all those infamous cards an Atry deck should run ghatered togheter. Sometimes it results in long, slow play becouse of the hard control, sometimes it kills fast and by unsospectable ways. Also proliferate can help in ramp and, with the right cards, it can create some loops hard to get out. The kind of deck refined with time in search for the optimal balance

Infectron is not infect. Infect decks in Commander are subjected to early hate, targeted removals and coalitions against you. No Glistener Elf here. Instead, I run those cards able to give infect to creatures, surprising your opponents with semi-letal attacks from time to time

The aim is to do many infect damages in one shot reaching then the 10th counter by proliferate in few turns, a thing made possible thanks to the many control cards around the deck

Phyresis works well no Atraxa giving you the opportunity to inflict 4 infect damages every turn with your flying commander

Glistening Oil is a Phyresis with a little drawback and a way to recursion. If given to Atraxa, make sure she has a +1/+1 counter to neutralize the -1/-1 forever

Corrupted Conscience is done to steal big creatures making them even scariest, but it can always enchant your creatures just to give them infect working like a Phyresis

Triumph of the Hordes is the perfect finisher. With Atraxa and just another unblocked creature often kills in one attack

Tainted Strike is really infamous since it can be played between the block declaration and damage assignment. It can be used even on an opponent's creature that attacked another adversary

Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon is the only exeption, a flying hasty infect dragon with the same Power of Atraxa. Enought to be included

Inkmoth Nexus deserves an own note. It's true that I didn't want small infect creatures and wathever, but when you have it on your opening hand you MUST play it. It does flying infect damages and resists against Wrath of God and similar making it hard to neutralize. Plus it goes combo with Nissa, Steward of Elements ultimate becouse if you activate its ability first and the Nissa one then, Inkmoth will take the best from the two becoming a 5/5 elmental artifact flying hasty infect creature

Actually, note that the only left card that can give infect to your creatures remains Grafted Exoskeleton , but its weakness about killing the equipped creature on a Shatter always makes it mhe in my eyes

Since the synergy between planeswalkers and proliferate an Atraxa deck can't haven't some Superfriends. I choosed to run those more versatile, with abilities of control and cards/creatures/mana advantage in order to have the right answer against everything and gaining time for the Infect strategy, but Ultimates remain a perfect alternative WinCon. Also I like planeswalkers with static abilities for their way to interact with the game even during opponents' turns

Liliana, Dreadhorde General does creatures/cards advantage and control on creatures. Ultimate often means your opponents to give up

Sorin Markov does control over small creatures and cuts legs to players with his second ability. Ultimate's power depends by situation

Kaya the Inexorable does control on nonland permanents. Ultimate does an important advantage/recursion, plus it goes combo with Karn's Temporal Sundering

Tamiyo, Field Researcher does cards advantage and control over nonland permanents. Ultimate for cards advantage and Omniscience

Jace, Architect of Thought does control over small creatures and cards advantage. Ultimate often ends games

Kiora, the Crashing Wave does control over nonland permanents and cards/lands advantage. Ultimate is a pain in the neck to deal with

Dovin Baan does control over creatures and cards advantage. Ultimate for heavy control, often means victory

Jace, the Mind Sculptor was added replacing Narset, Parter of Veils . Stronger but not essential, hard to ultimate

Nissa, Steward of Elements for early cards advantage if played with few mana. Ultimate goes combo with Inkmoth Nexus

Note that besides proliferate, the fastest ways to make your planeswalkers able to play their Ultimate are having on the field both Doubling Season or Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider or by casting Deepglow Skate . Planewide Celebration choosing 4 times proliferate is effective too

The Wanderer does static protection on you and your permanents and control over creatures

Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner does static cards advantage and mana advantage

Dovin, Hand of Control does static tax over artifacts, sorceries and istants and control over permanents

Ashiok, Dream Render does static control over libraries and control over graveyards

The following cards are able to maximize their abilities based on counters thanks to proliferate, giving you the chance to use them every turn and even more times in the same one

Fertilid literally became an everyday Rampant Growth allowing you to ramp a lot

Myojin of Cleansing Fire can do Day of Judgment at your discretion until he holds at least one Divinity counter

Myojin of Night's Reach with proliferate is gold. We're talking about discard hands at istant speed every turn. That's crazy

Myojin of Seeing Winds will let you draw your entire library if it appens to do his ability more than once

While Fertilid has the only task to ramp, note that the other cards mentioned are control ones, helpful to give you enought time to reach the notorious 10th infect counter or the possibility to accumulate loyalty for a planeswalker's ultimate. Like them, some others need to be mentioned, like Parallax Wave , Spike Weaver , Transmogrifying Wand , Wickerbough Elder and Briber's Purse , but I cutted them in order to give more space to my Superfriends

Proliferate with some cards is like cheating. It makes storage lands powerful and makes weak creatures like Fertilid indispensable. Here's the list of cards not to be missed for an Atraxa deck

Everflowing Chalice and Astral Cornucopia casted for more than one counter are a waste since proliferate. Same thing for City of Shadows , it only needs one sacrifice to improve itself. Those three cards are powerful since they can accumulate counters without discard them when you tap them for mana

Coalition Relic can storage well more than a singol charge counter before it transforms them into molticolored mana on your next main phase

Pyramid of the Pantheon has to work like a mana fixer just one time, two at the most before it became a Gilded Lotus

Calciform Pools , Dreadship Reef and Saltcrusted Steppe only need one time you give them a storage counter to grow and after some turns they can fullfill your mana pool for a massive shot

Gemstone Mine could stand for all the game with a bit of attenction

Vivid Creek , Vivid Grove and Vivid Marsh , besides enter tapped, could add multicolored mana well more than 2 times

Even without infect or planeswalkers or yet stuff enanched by proliferate, Atraxa can still cause trouble by herself. Here's some cards that work well with her in many different way

Atraxa, Praetors' Voice is so powerful to seem unbroken, but since two is always better than one I run Sakashima the Impostor to copy her bypassing the Legendary Rule

• When you cast her with Opal Palace or Guildmages' Forum she only needs three attacks to Voltron someone, since she can proliferate her own +1/+1 counters

• She has lifelink, so if she goes Hatred you can do Voltron without lose any life. Just cast it and pay 17 lifes to make her a 21/4 flying killer. If the attack goes well, at end of turn you'll get +4 lifes and an opponent down

• If you get on the field Everflowing Chalice , Astral Cornucopia or City of Shadows you can easily play her everytime she dies no matter how many Damnation your opponents cast. At the end of every your turn infact she give a counter to these mana staples, allowing you to accumulate enought mana to cast her for the next time she'll die

• She works well with planeswalkers unable to add loyalty, expecially Kiora, Behemoth Beckoner and for her cmc

However, just becouse of her strenght she can be repetitively targeted by your opponents by counterspells or removals, preventing you to play the deck at his maximum. That's why we have other ways to proliferate like Karn's Bastion , Grateful Apparition , Evolution Sage , Thrummingbird , Viral Drake and Sword of Truth and Justice

Note that these aren't the only permanents that allow you to proliferate more times (check about Contagion Clasp , Contagion Engine , Inexorable Tide , Throne of Geth , Merfolk Skydiver , Flux Channeler , Guildpact Informant , Plaguemaw Beast and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician ) but simply they are those I consider more fast, cheap and useful
