(DECK HAS BEEN REVAMPED. Description still under construction though.)
This deck used to be Breya, but with access to green the "A + B" combo becomes a lot easier and faster. Because you are running dorks with summoning sickness, Worldgorger is not ideal (it is not ideal anyway as the combo itself is very susceptible to hate).
The main line is Bomberman (
Auriok Salvagers
+
Lion's Eye Diamond
). This gives you infinite mana, and with Golos as an infinite mana outlet in the command zone, you do not need any additional cards. After assembling the combo, you can either do twister loops or labman/jace. Here's how it works:
-
Have Auriok on the field and LED either in the graveyard or on the field. If it's in the yard, use Auriok to pay 1W and return LED to your hand. Cast it, activate it and float WWW, use 2 of those white mana to bounce it to your hand. This nets you an extra W (assuming there are no stax effects). Keep doing this until you have infinite white mana, then use the white mana to return LED to your hand and cast LED for the rest of the colors. Now you have infinite mana of every color.
-
Use the Bomberman mana to cast your commander and activate his ability an infinite number of times. You now have access to every card in your deck and can cast it for free until end of turn.
-
From here, you can do pretty much anything you'd like, but I highly recommend first casting
Silence
. Cast
Laboratory Maniac
or
Jace, Wielder of Mysteries
from exile. Keep in mind your entire deck is already exiled using Golos' ability, so you don't really need
Demonic Consultation
or
Tainted Pact
to exile your library anymore. Cast
Gitaxian Probe
,
Timetwister
,
Wheel of Fortune
,
Windfall
,
Ponder
,
Preordain
,
Brainstorm
, or pretty much anything else (even
Veil of Summer
) that draws you a card if you're using Labman, or just activate Jace to draw a card off an empty library.
BACKUP PLAN IN CASE LABMAN AND JACE IS GONE: If for whatever reason you do not have a Jace or Labman (maybe you exiled both to
Demonic Consultation
when naming your second Bomberman combo), you can twister loop. Here's how that works:
-
So you've assembled infinite mana, cast Golos, and activate him a bunch. You need both
Noxious Revival
and
Timetwister
in order to get this going (as well as enough cards in your deck so you don't deck out to Twister). Make sure you've cast
Silence
or
Veil of Summer
already so that people don't draw into answers for your combo after you've Twistered them.
-
One thing that works is casting
Praetor's Grasp
on someone and simply getting their Laboratory Maniac and/or Jace, but you can also loop Praetor's Grasp, exile everyone's library by casting it a gazillion times, and passing the turn, allowing every opponent to deck out on their draw steps. You can alternatively use
Assassin's Trophy
to destroy all your opponents' permanents (if they get basics, you obviously just trophy the basics until they have nothing left). To do this:
-
Cast the spell you want to loop. Cast
Noxious Revival
, putting the card back into your library. Exile the card to Golos and use it again. Now, both Noxious Revival and the win-con are in the graveyard. Use
Timetwister
to shuffle your graveyard into your library and repeat this process.
Also note that the Flash-Hulk combo is in the deck. You have 2 Flash Hulk piles, both of which are sorcery speed and both of which utilize Golos:
Pile 1:
Auriok Salvagers
+
Goblin Engineer
(getting
Lion's Eye Diamond
into the graveyard) + 1W mana to activate Auriok
Pile 2:
Vigean Graftmage
+
Incubation Druid
+
Torch Courier
+ A rainbow land. Use graftmage to put a counter on druid, druid now adds 3 blue mana, give it haste with torch courier, use 2 blue mana to untap druid using graftmage's activated ability, you now have 1 extra U. Generate infinite U and it's the same concept as Bomberman above really. Use that blue to untap Druid as you begin tapping Druid for all the other colors.
Interestingly enough, for Pile 2, you can use
Golos, Tireless Pilgrim
's ETB ability to tutor for your rainbow land (although perhaps the best thing to get with Golos is
Gaea's Cradle
).
Lightning Bolt
is in the Maybeboard because it's both a decent removal spell and a loopable win-con. A lot of people don't like this card in cEDH.
CHANGES:
6/24: Got rid of
Lotus Petal
, brought in
Gamble
. It just seems like Lotus Petal is the wrong card to have in this deck. It makes sense in
The First Sliver
Food Chain
decks because your creature mana gets turned into anything mana. But in a deck where you've already assembled infinite mana to cast anything, having a lotus petal just seems awfully redundant. Gamble, on the other hand, offers something this deck needs much of: additional tutors. It can find
Lion's Eye Diamond
and you wouldn't care if the card got discarded. It's only 1 mana and helps with consistency (although there's always that risk when running it).
