I've been looking to build a gate deck for a while. Golos, Tireless Pilgrim gives me the option to do this not only efficiently but at a quicker pace than is usually viable with other 5 Color Commanders.

The Commander

Why Golos? My choice mostly is due to how he enables easy search affects with simple flicker and blink spells to quickly get 9 gates and Maze's End .
Most of the gate decks I see like to run some of the more dangerous commanders as an easy alternate solution in case they lose a gate in exile or are having trouble retrieving it from their graveyard. I figured that if they manage to remove a Gate from the deck I'll just mess around with some flicker and exile tricks to mess with people while stalling for retrieval for my lands.

The Strategy

Your goal should be to get Golos and a repeatable flicker effect on board as quickly as possible. If you can manage to get Golos out turn 4 or 5 you should have no trouble getting all the Gates you need in 5 or 6 turns.
It's sometimes worth waiting a turn to cast Golos to set up either Panharmonicon or Yarok, the Desecrated . Generally its best to hold instant speed flicker effects until the end step before your turn. They make good evasion for Golos against targeted removal if it's necessary.
If you end up with more than 1 gate in exile try to rely on Golos' activated ability to make use free removal and some of the drain and burn effects such as Crackling Perimeter along with Progenitus to end the game.
