This is my attempt at making samurai great again and relevant in the meta game. The deck started of as a casual leaning flavor deck. Now, I have gotten much more serious and have tried to sure up some of the decks weaknesses by using cards like Cavern of Souls and Aether Vial that fight counter Magic and grant pseudo haste.

The creature cap is 2 cmc due to the deck needing to be fast enough to race other decks for the turn 4 win condition. In this case, it means having lethal power on board by turn 4. We accomplish this with a lot of 2 power creatures flooding the board in true white weenie style. We have adjusted the sideboard for flexibility against the more common meta decks. Keeping the creature count high, as that is the win condition, while providing some resilience against things like burn and control decks, as well as some combo decks.

The deck could use a 2 cmc lord effect on a creature, which is why we are using Honor of the Pure in the meantime. Hopefully some stronger samurai in the 1-2 cmc range will be printed in the future.
